Actually the result did not truely represent the game ... (sadly so)
Brazil made good effort in exploiting Denmark's error in defense ... not much of a good attacking side
Denmark did wake up and gave Brazil hard time in last 30mins or so ...

I saw only bits and pieces of the match, but I liked what I saw, minus the foot being taken off the accelerator in the second half. The team was frankly not too interested then.

I've read commentaries in the Brazilian sports media, including an excellent blog about tactics and strategy. Basically, the reviews of Mano Menezes' team performance yesterday, at the least the first half, was that it was the best 45 minutes Brazil has played in quite a while. I was particularly intrigued by a comment made about Hulk - that he is reminiscent of Adriano's younger self. Adriano was awesome in the middle of last decade, as we all know. I would love to see somebody similar to him play for Brazil.

Denmark may be no world title contender, but they aren't a weakling either. It's a welcome surprise, that Hulk, Damiao, Oscar, Lucas, and the rest of the team functioned well together.

Menezes has already publicly declared Neymar will start against Mexico. I hope this doesn't mean Hulk is booted off the starting lineup - it'd be unfair given Brazil won because of him. Would Lucas go to the bench? Can Neymar and Hulk compose a good partnership up front, with Damiao as well?

I think Team USA will present an excellent challenge for us come Wednesday. The Americans are playing solid futebol, as they blasted Scotland 5-1. Team USA will also give Menezes a chance to test the team with Neymar, and the team will acquire further team chemistry en route to the upcoming friendlies against Mexico (who is always a challenge to us) and of course, Argentina on June 9th.

I know it's the first of four matches, but based on what I saw, it looks like Mano's Olympic team has begun to take shape. Let's hope his final Olympic squad, to be announced on June 8th, makes sense - we've got outstanding talents who are young enough for Olympic play, and we must take advantage of this opportunity.

It's true. IT's some Brazil XI made up of players from.... Brazil. Brazilians. But I couldn't find news of this outside non-Brazilian news sites.

Pushing too much forward, Mexico parking the bus and scoring on the counters. It's always the same story with them, Mano should have known that.

Damiao has done nothing so far, I always felt like he was overhyped.

haha ... what does Mano know?

Well do not forget this last team squad were young and somewhat inexperienced in international games ...

With better coaching and tactics, plus more games fitness they will be growing and ready for WC14.

I cry out LOUD for Zico to make up a history for Brazil - this time as a coach!

I am getting sick of loosing to higher ranked teams, and I am especially getting sick of loosing to Los Hermanos. We never had this under Dunga. I never experienced this. ******** !!
I'm going to sleep now for a few hours.

I can only guess why no one is talking about Brazil's last friendly match against Argentina. Maybe it's the young squad that Mano selected or the result. Hopefully people will be more interested in the national teams games when he selects the squad that will play in the world cup.

LOL. I have no idea why they dont try scheduling more teams with styles of play that pose problems for the Selecao.

UEFA qualifiers start then, so that pretty much takes away every team that will give us serious issues.

From what I,ve seen so far in the Euro2012 , Spain has regressed a lot since 2008 .And they look like a beatable team.Only Germany looks like a formidable opponent !

I don't think they have regress; they are just more conservative it seems. I hope Germany wins anyway makes for a stronger confederations cup.

Well at least you see Xavi was no longer the same (as of WC10) he was just above average at best in this EUro! Aberloa is not even international class ... and Xabi Alonso would only get worse with time ... So in a way, Spain DID get a bit rfegressed (or they will very soon)

The problem of Spain (like Brazil now) is that they lacked of a TRUE #9 who could make space and/or score goals when team needs. Actually the WHOLE Euro2012 got same issue (no more #9)

Look at the way Spain playing in last few games, I don;t think Brazil NT would have trouble not to beat them!
