They'll have a good month or maybe two and then collapse horribly. That's basically what every Roth team does.

I wonder why Cavalcanti will go now. Hopefully he bounces back. Seems to be one of the most promising coaches in Brazil.

He's going to take over Ponte as soon as Vadao takes the women's job.

I'm getting an angry feeling that Flu is going to take the Brasileirao this year.. Please Portuguesa make this feeling go away.

Aren't they suppose to get a sum of money from the cbf? I'm happy they cut bait because the roster is in danger of getting them relegated to serie c.

They got Serie A money from CBF to stay quiet, and I wouldn't doubt that they likely got something extra.

I think so too but before the last 2 weeks I was actually thinking they had a fighting chance.

The roster is depleted of talent compared to last year. Araujo will have his moments, but he looks finished to me. If they can get something out of Carlos Alberto, that'll help but it's not enough. The only thing going for them is I think there are quite a few teams that are relegation candidates.

Not enough roster depth either and if Ramon is your go to guy for creation your in trouble. Your probably right about Araujo and the other striker options are just useless even though I thought 2 up front with Araujo and Rychelly would work lol

After watching the Libs & Carioca, and following and watching the highlights of the Paulista, I believe this season is wide open. I dont believe Cruzeiro will play like they did last season, will hover around 4th imo. Flu and Corinthians will both disappoint greatly again this season, imo. Galo is a crapshoot.

There is a large group of teams at the front that have a shot at winning it, bc no one sticks out. I don't like putting anybody in front to win it.

I'll do this a little differently with a full table prediction G-4 and Z-4 in bold.

    Sao Paulo
    Galo

    Santos
    Gremio

    Cruzeiro
    Palmeiras
    Flamengo
    Inter
    Os Mestres de Tapetao
    Bahia
    Chapecoense
    Corinthians
    Atletico PR
    Vitoria
    Goias
    Botafogo
    Sport
    Coritiba
    Criciuma
    Figueirense

    Serie B

    1. Doesn't Matter
    2. Vasco

I want to say I know Criciuma will not be relegated but I can't. They have looked pretty crappy since Caio Jr took over so I don't know how much patience they will have with him but the squad is pretty decent. They were lucky to stay up last year with all the manager changes it was honestly ridiculous.

I guess Chapecoense is this year's Portuguesa for me. They are my other lock for relegation, but it seems that others like them better than I do. The rest of the bottom half of ND's table (not the order, but teams) I can agree with except for Corinthians. They are overrated for several reasons, but I don't think they finish that low.

Signing's like Alemao and Bruno Silva are extremely questionable but at least they seem to have stability at manager. I have read a lot of hype about there Meia Regis but I think they are in trouble too.

Vagner Mancini is the new manager of Botafogo. Moraci Sant’Anna is the Fitness Coach. Mancini was Atlético Paranaense's manager in 2013 (third in Brazilian Série A). I think he's a good manager. I hope he could handle well all the problems involving the club. Emerson Sheik has been confirmed as the new signing of Botafogo.

Does this have any realistic chance of happening?

Way to late in the game. Nothing will be done, IMO. Hypocrisy by the CBF and STJD though.

CBF loses the first instance on the court. Icasa is still in serie A.

    Let's see tomorrow.
