That's great to read. I can only hope to get BeinSport soon so I don't miss these Sunday afternoon games. There seem to be a lot of positive tweets about him on Twitter, so hopefully that means he keeps his spot despite De Rossi and Pjanic waiting in the wings.
I can not imagine him not keeping his place against Lazio. Either De Rossi replaces Florenzi or De Rossi is kept on the bench to keep Bradley on the pitch.
He showed some great close control to turn out of pressure and start attacks as well. Then he would make those trademark runs in to the box that his teammates just missed out on finding him. His passing was aggressive and accurate as well. I liked that move at the edge of the box in the first few minutes too. Don't think ive ever seen that from him. Best ive seen him play.
Hudson was going on about rumors of Madrid coming in for DDR. If they offer stupid money, Roma has to seriously consider it.
Watching a Spurs game is just fvcking brutal. That has to be the most unlikeable and frustrating team that any YA is on. And of course it had to be Clint to land there. I definately enjoying the Roma games with Mikey though.
Very impressed with his play today, but the biggest surprise was ability to beat players off the dribble and create space using his pace rather than his positioning. When the ******** did he start doing that?
he beat someone on the dribble in the last USA game and got taken down for what was a fairly clear ( and not called) penalty. Remember that? He is not too fast but he is confident with the ball.
He did it like four times in the midfield today. I don't remember him doing that regularly with the Nats.
To be fair, there aren't many more less useful languages than dutch - although it can help you pick up very tall chicks who like to bike, which is not always a bad thing.
And Sint Maarten and, coolest of all, Saba. And helps you sing "Santa Clause the Capon" at Christmas - Most Bizarre Christmas Carol Ever. But it is really not a language that travels all that well.
Sint Maarten yes. Saba and Statia not so much. They speak English on the latter two mostly. From what I remember, the Dutch that the Statians.and Sabans spoke wasn't the greatest. Since I don't speak Dutch, I would have to defer to those who do speak it.
I have hopes for CD in that AVB will get canned and CD will have a new (better) manager come in that he can play for. Regardless Mikey is pretty darn impressive and our best field player on the pitch ... better than Dempsey and JJ and better than Donovan. It is great that Bradley is doing well in the Eternal City.
I love this stat line, less possession, high shot total, corners...Destro with two yellows in 3 minutes. Roma doesnt do anything slowly. If anyone wanted to see what the US probably wants to look like under Klinsie, watch Roma. AS Roma Palermo 20(11) Shots (on goal) 11(7) 13 Fouls 12 15 Corner kicks 6 2 Offsides 4 45% Time of Possession 55% 1 Yellow Cards 2 1 Red Cards 0 6 Saves 7
Roma plays a bit like a ultra refined Bob Bradley team. Just that the DM stays home mostly to help protect the back line. It's also sort of similar to how we played under Klinsi for those two magical halfs in qualification. It suits Bradley well.
I was gonna say this too and held back due to fear of ridicule. I can see the responses now - BOB BRADLEY IS NO ZEMAN. But now that you've gone there - I do see a ton of similarity between Bob's team style and Zeman's team style - particularly in games where the US was evenly matched with the opponent. Use the whole field at all times, relentless running from the midfielders, a lot of situations where your defenders have to make important plays in a lot of space. Don't dick around, get the ball forward and hurry up in support. Finish runs out of the midfield all the way to the box. The difference is how much better this style works when the first ball out of the back is a good one. Onyewu, DeMerit, Bocanegra, and Bornstein limited the USA in this regard, whereas Zeman has much more reliable passers in the back.
1. Notice the sweats. 2. Look in the background. It is clear who is really pulling the strings at Roma.
