Palermo had a chance or two at the end of the half, but that's the best 45 I've seen from Roma this season. They created plenty of chances, but it wasn't frantic back and forth stuff as it often has been this year. It has been much more composed. Also, Bradley can be pleased with the part he has played.
Did anyone see the little chat MB was having with I think Lamela when the half was called? I guess observations about them working well together aren't unfounded.
His passing has been very sharp and forward minded. Hes moving the ball a lot quicker as well. His runs have been incredible to boot. Best 45 that ive seen from him in a Roma shirt. Shame he barely missed getting on the end of the Lamela pass in the box.
Bradley has looked really, really, really good today. Springing players with nice passing, keeping possession well, and popping up in the box with aggressive runs from deep positions. Also, he's done a hell of a job harassing Palermo's midfield; not winning a ton of balls, but creating enough havoc to keep them unsettled and misfiring.
I haven't heard Ray and Phil in a while. ". . .combining like Lennon and McCartney. . ." ahh, good ol' Ray!
4-0, Destro Roma rampant without DeRossi. Really high energy performance. Kind of a "we love our coach and we will vindicate him" vibe out there from Roma.
Destro kind of caught himself taking his shirt off, and pulled it back on. It was not completely off; a little harsh to get a 2nd yellow for that. Almost everyone seems to be laughing it off though; being up 4-0 helps.
hm, Palermo goal. Looks like a Roma defender, Burdisso, was fouled in the buildup. Burdisso gets a yellow for protesting.
Really incredible. I'm really amazed he learned Dutch as an 18 year old. I can't imagine many young foreign players in the Eredivisie try.
He did - very well. Surprised there's not a bit more chatter about this game, given the Dempsey game has 20 pages or whatever. He was sharp and quick minded and did his trademark 100 miles of running. Zeman style needs willing runners and Bradley is definitely that, but his passing was really penatrative too. He wasn't passing on responsibility and just playing safe. He was thumping well-measured 40 yard balls into the attack then joining in. Really great to watch.
I'm sure they do. But how many players actually learn it during their stint there? Much less become fluent in it?
