Watched highlights... first of all the Roma's defense is AWFUL and that own goal by the keeper was just sad.
Didn't catch the game but how did Mike play? Based on the scoreline I'm guessing any wear between poor and average?
At least Bradley played the ball that set up Roma's 2nd goal... Also was probably Roma's best player today..
Lately it seems like Mike and Totti (ok, not just lately in his case) are the best players of just about every Roma game.
Pretty much. I feel like Totti could be doing better and that he was doing better earlier in the year but he's still been good the last few fixtures. His passing has been a tad lazy lately imho.
I have a lamela man crush, he was explosive when he wanted to be. And super man crush on Mikey, even 3 goals down he NEVER stopped running. If any complaint, his runs without the ball are straight down the center, parallel with the guy with the ball. Wouldn't mind seeing something more dynamic in that sense. He truly is box to box like no one i remember seeing. Still not a playmaker, per se, though he's not being asked to and not sure he will ever be. But damn fun to watch, win/lose.
If I did that in my men's league, hell -- I'd have teammates questioning whether that was a legit error.
As a keeper, you are not supposed to turn into your own net like that. I realized that he may have been wrong footed but he knew the cross was coming. You should always attempt to catch the ball with the back to the net....for that very reason.
When I was a youth keeper one of the first things they taught me was we were supposed to keep the ball OUT of the net. I guess the training has change. It was like a soccer Coop-a-loop!
Decent game overall, at least compared to the rest. You could argue he should have been tighter to the goal scorer on Cagliari's first.

Zeman sacked. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1323868/roma-part-company-with-zdenek-zeman?cc=5901
But he just got a vote of confidence!?! What will other coaches think now when their team's owners come to them with a vote of confidence? Ask them if it is simply an ordinary vote of confidence or a resounding vote of confidence? Mightn't coaches come to dread the day they receive a vote of confidence? I'm concerned.
Can we please have Zeman in MLS. Zeman is a solid coach who tends to do well with teams that are not top-heavy on star power and have young rosters. You have to admit, his teams are always entertaining and attack minded. One of his weaknesses is that he doesn't do as well with high-priced stars. My favorite Zeman quote was from the last time he coached Roma when criticized for being too offensive minded he said along the lines of 'we only need to outscore our opponent by one goal, that is why we attack.' All the best to you Zdenak and maybe you can come back to Roma for a third time before you retire. Perhaps you should call Joey Saputo. You could be the visionary you are on this side of the Atlantic.
I don't think Zeman's sacking is going to have any negative consequence, at this point, for Bradley. He's earned his position. He may not start all games, but he'll be a regular face on the field.
