I feel like we need circus music playing in the background. This is ridiculous! Though it does bring back memories. Growing up in Oregon, I played many a game on fields like this.
Anyone else wondering just how much more water would be needed to convince the officials to abandon the match due to a waterlogged pitch? I expect to see animals lining up two by two any minute now...
It would be a shame if this game is decided by a pass that dies in the water.(unless it favors Chievo )
I'm guessing that due to number of matches that were cancelled over the season (player death, weather, etc) coupled with the fact the end of season is near and Euros are around the corner, the Serie A officials were handicapped with extending the season out even further by canceling yet another match. The conditions are horrendous but I could see, from their perspective, why the match has been played. Still it's goning be an ugly affair.
Not Italy obviously but I once saw a Euro qualifier between France and SLovakia where there was a puddle so big behind the goal that a shot that beat the keeper from outside the 18 hit the puddle and stopped 3 yards in front of the goalline.
Bradley's played three really good balls now to create chances. He's looking good out there despite the conditions.
Bradley with another great through ball that leads to a break away, which peloschi gives to the keeper, then Bradley with another nice chip through ball, which leads to a corner.
So much for fair Verona. This is good for Bradley, Roma likes to overload the midfield and pass it on the ground.
Wow- what terrible conditions. Just pump the ball into the box and wait for someone to slip and fall. It's bound to happen. Conditions should help neutralize Roma's skill advantage.

Chievo starts the 2nd half on the attack. Looks like they are really trying to break their 400+ minute scoreless streak.
I don't no who that dude they just showed for Chievo is, but he is my new favorite player...Nay person, on earth. He has a really bad mustache and then on top of that, half of it is dark brown on the right and blonde on the left. Fing rad. Half-Stache is my boy.
damn. Bradley with a gloriously played through ball that leads to a goal, but it is correctly called offsides
That was a wonderful ball from Mikey there. Roma played the trap very well, but that's playing with fire. "Creative" is more in the DNA today.
A wonderful showcase of Serie A futbol. Easily matching the spectacle of the Bayern Munich-Real Madrid match and Manchester City/United derby.... or maybe NOT. Interesting how the technique/tactics change during a downpour (aside from the comedic value). Bradley has made a few dangerous passes but the conditions are muting any chances for brilliant goals.
