But many do so not within the law, though the law is very convoluted. http://www.fcc.gov/guides/over-air-reception-devices-rule
You either have to order the sports pack to see it in English & High Def. Or you can get a Spanish Language package and get it in Spanish in SD.

My bud My buddy has it in HD and he doesn't have to even change channels to get the spanish feed. He just hits a button and it switches from the english to spanish commentating. The picture, in HD, remains the same as well as the channel, 670.
the Guatemala game was in Guatemala. The home federation holds the rights to broadcast. It's not that ESPN wasn't interested. I'm sure someone in the Guatemala federation's pockets were lined nicely for the rights to that game.
BTW if you're an AT&T U-verse subscriber, here's a website to request stations to be added. http://uversechannels.att.com/
How did games in Guatemala or Costa Rica get shown in past World Cup cycles? I thought Traffic was to blame? Now it's the Guatemalan Fed? What ESPN can't deal with these people? Well guess what, they (ESPN, SUM) don't have to worry about it anymore.
well the company that won the bid chose to put them on PPV so in that sense it's not the Guatemalan Fed's fault. Having said that, there is no way the company that showed the games could have had a better package than any cable/network channel. A PPV program for something like a soccer game I really can't see being a big money maker. As I said, I feel confident that someone's pockets were lined in order to win the bid, but I guess I could be wrong.
I was told that Traffic ( the company that won the bid) approached SUM, ESPN, Fox Soccer, NBC Sports and they all passed. PPV was the last option.
BeIN Sports is owned by Al-Jazeera and based in Qatar. Bribing their way to the 2022 World Cup wasn't enough; now they feel the need to hold our national team hostage as well. Count me out.
How are they holding our national team hostage? They're showing games for free that would otherwise be on PPV in over 10 million homes. They'll likely be in 40 million homes by the time the hex rolls around.
72 hours before the match and still no word from Comcast in my location. It would be a great goodwill gesture if beIN could make this match available legitimately through their own website. Heaven knows most of the people reading this are going to be watching pirated streams otherwise.
Just tweeted by Ian Joy: IAN PAUL JOY @JOYPAULIAN “@beINSport1USA: Comcast subscribers, call your local branch and ask when #beIN will be available in YOUR city” @Krisstyn106 any help?

on a side note - the game is not on Dish's schedule yet - anyone know why or if it will be shown live?
Dish's guides have not been accurate since the Launch. The game will be on Dish on both 408 and 871. You don't have to worry.
