Yeah, he was in ESPN's 30 for 30, "Once Brothers" as well. He'd be an upgrade over Sabit Hadzic for sure, all he'd have to do would be keep our starting center. :D

For basketball, I post at interbasket. There's a Bosnian thread, and the NBA forum is pretty active (more so for other teams like my Kings :D). Where do you post?

Nedim Dedovic has already declared that he wants to play for the Spain NT, even though his brother is already playing for the Bosnian NT. Pretty weird...

    Lukajić podnio ostavku

    Piše: A. Kontić
    Ponedjeljak, 23.01.12. 12:08.

KSBIH begins preparation of EC 2013 qualification campaign - Jan 23, 2012 (by Nedzad Kladusak)

It seems that KSBIH has learned its lesson after the partial success they had during the EC in Lithuania.
Harun Mahmutovic has secured the services of new players like Unicaja-giants Nedzad Sinanovic (221-C-83), Ognjen Kuzmic and rising Caja Laboral star Sadnro Gacic (195-G-96).
At least four candidates for the headcoach position have been contacted and it seems that this time
BIH will get a more sounding name on its bench. Aleksandar Petrovic confirmed several meetings with Harun Mahmutovic
and pointed out that financial issues will not be decisive. KSBIH will decide the first of February who will coach the BIH NT.
Meanwhile KSBIH confirmed two test matches with Montenegro and agreed the participation on a strong tournament in Slovenia where BIH will face
the hosts but also Croatia and Serbia. KSBIH will organise a tournament in BIH which will be a great opportunity for Bosnian basketball fans to see the team. So far POrtugal confirmed its participation.

    --------------------------------------------

It looks like Aleksandar Petrovic has been in some talks with the KSBIH for the head coach position. Looking forward to februaury to see the new national team leader. I'm also excited to see we have a couple of test (friendlies) matches witha EC 2011 side in Montenegro and then take part in an Ex-Yu tournament.

    Re: !

It's official, we've got Goran Suton to play for our NT (and a couple other solid players):

New players to join NT BIH - Feb 6, 2012 (by Nedzad Kladusak)

According to several sources Bosnian Headcoach Aleksandar Petrovic announced that he will try to convince players mostly from western Hercegovina to join BIH NT and bring in some younger players.
Despite names have not specified so far it seems that among these are Ante Masic (200-F-85, agency: Interperformances) and Goran Suton (209-C-85, college: Michigan St.) who previously opted for Croatia and ruled out any possibility to play for BIH. Suton would face strong rivals since the PF/C position is staffed with Bajramovic, Bavcic, Kikanovic, Varda who have plenty of experience on European top level. Ante Masic, Mostar-native SG, bas better chances to get a spot in the Bosnian team since he can play the SF position that is currently not covered by true SF.
General secretary Mahmutovic mentioned also the name that talented Ivan Ramljak (203-F-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) is also in the focus of KSBIH. However he pointed out that KSBIH wants first to discuss this issue with HKS since Ramljak played for the Croatian U-20.
Dnevni Avaz a Bosnian tabloid mentions Hasan Rizvic as one of the possible reinforcements. However this option seems not to be very likely since Rizvic played 2010 for Slovenia the WC.

    ------------------------------------------------------

    Thank you Aleksandar Petrovic!!!!!

    Bosnians Abroad

Adnan Hodzic is having a nice season for is German team. He is averaging 7.6 points a game, and is shooting 50% from the field as well as 82.8% from the charity stripe. Hodzic is getting some nice minutes as well.

Another player who plays in the Polish league, Ermin Jazvin has being doing decent for a player his standards. After playing for the repka at EC 2011, Jazvin has left to play in Germany and since then he has been averaging about 5 points and 5 rebounds a game. Ermin has been a solid player for EnBW L'burg.

Henry Domercant, who has been playing in Russia, has done verywell in the 2011-12 basketball season. He has scored almost 13 points a game (12.9 to be exact) and has grabbed around 3 boards a match as well. He has led his team UNICS very well this year.

Finally, Bosnian star Mirza Teletovic has put in a great year for Caja Laboral. He has scored 20 points er game, gotten 7 rebounds a game, and averaged 1.2 asist a match. He has been a great leader for Caja throughout the Spanish League and the European one.

GORAN SUTON! I was convinced he would NEVER play for us. But who can deny playing under the brother of the best Yugoslav Basketball player - Drazen. All the Croat Bosnians are playing for Bosnia, I think we can maybe get Bojan Bogdanovic and if we get Emir Preldzic, we will come at least in the top 5 at the EuroBasket.

    Re: !

Actually, if he were to join the NBA, there would be a decent chance of this becoming true. He is underrated, mainly because he comes from a small European country and scouts think he is one-sided. He can shoot the ball, has good height for defense, can rebound well as any PF should do, and finally he has cluth when you need it (he's made some buzzer-eaters before). I don't see why any NBA wouldn't want to sign him, it's just a matter of Teletovic choosing to play in the NBA. If he did, I'd say he could very well become a Peja Stojakovic type player, including All-Star weekend 3-POINT Shootouts. :D

    No problem, haha.

His lay-ups are good but he doesn't do them much; he prefers dunks. :D Teletovic is just and all-around good player which is why it would be easy for him to find a home in the NBA.

    It's alright - I love answerins sports Q's. :D

He is actually pretty quick for his position. He is similar to Dzeko - both are quick for their position, they both play at a top league/club, both are stars for the NT, both are a bit underrated (one by fans, other by scouts), and both score a lot. Only difference is the sport.
