Yes - the classic No Nay Never irish tune And its New York City (clap clap clap clap) or (Freddy Wilpon) New York City F.C Were by far the greatest fans That dont have a team
not sure if this is on here somewhere... We'll be comin (originally Tartan Army) We'll be comin We'll be comin We'll be comin down the road when you hear the Noise of the New York Borough Boys We'll Be comin down the road. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6511f4Iol4s
Great chant. You could almost take that extra beat out of the music and just have "when you hear the Noise of the Borough Boys".
Add it - hey - what do you think of my 12 days of christmas version - i only ask because it could keep us busy a while - ya know ha ha Easy and long
i like it, but i'm coming up with a song right now that uses a chirstmas tune as well.... we'll def use one of them. I don't want people thinking we are x-mas carolers.
oh - so we have to use your christmas song - who the F do you think you are buddy - ha ha ha p.S - its in the works - last match of hte season - Arsenal v. United at Old Trafford - Im going to go!
Yep..and when the man in your avatar is here in NYC..he always drinks at the Irish Rover over in Astoria..his manager owns the joint. Good guy
If anyone's heard the tune "Christmas time is here" from the Peanuts Christmas. All I have so far is. "borough Boys are Here! Borough Boys are Here! ..... .... We'll get our team next year!" But we'd sing it a bit faster. It'd be a good song when we march in, to announce our presence.
Oh yea - i know but most people know it as No Nay Never Frankie - please tell this man I know my irish tunes!!!! LOL
Oh I know this tune - but are we going to kick each other in the jewels before sining - its a high pitch tune dude!
Using the Wild Rover tune ( and some altered TA lyrics) "By Bus, train , or taxi We'll be there on the day To our New York Team Whenever they play"
Something unique to matches in American, that I would like to see. When I was in Czech Republic last November, I watched the Champion's League match between Slavia Praha and Arsenal on TV. It seems Slavia Praha has a "call and response" ritual with the supporters at the begining http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wu9HQ...eature=related and at the end of the game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifxUT...eature=related It seemed like a tradition that the team would call something into the crowd and the crowd would respond (or vicea versa). I found it a thrilling way to bond team and supporters before and after the competition. I thnik the closest thing we have here is Army singing the Academy song at the end of each football game. I have a postiing on the CR site here to see if anyone confirm this: that this is more than a one-time deal. And if so, if that person has any idea what they are saying.
