Awesome 2nd half. Gracian is playing huge.

Battaglia scores after a great effort by Palermo. 3-0.

Keep Gracian. He did cover well for Riquelme last season and provides some variety.

The Boselli move doesn't look that bad if Palacio stays and Noir continues to develop. I think he'll be a better player than Boselli soon enough.

Palermo today was out of this world. He did everything you could want of your #9 besides score. I wanted him to score just to put the cherry on top of one of the best performances I've seen him have in a while.

Will use this thread for pre, match and post discussion.

I agree, it was one of Palermo's best games in a while ... feel sorry for him for not tieing the Boca scoring record, let alone surpass it, but the goalie was determined to stop every Martin chance.

Pochi had lots of responsibility on him and didn't show what he is capable of. But it is also true that Noir gave a different freshness to the offense, something Castroman failed to do.

Lets hope that the good form keeps up against Arsenal tomorrow nite ... they have built a pretty competitive team themselves.

Nice to see RoPa fit for this match. Over the weekend they were not sure if he would be ready to go. Tano gets a well deserved start so hopefully he'll build up enough confidence to spell Roman regularly.

Viatri and Noir are going to be excellent if they're given a chance.

    Boca Campeon de la Recopa!

Empato 2-2 con Arsenal despues de haber ganado 3-1 el partido de ida. Palacio y Riquelme hicieron los goles. Arsenal termino con 9 jugadores.

I missed the game, but it's nice to know that they won so easily with the kids. The future looks bright.

    What's Gaitan's best position?

I think he plays as attacking midfielder, which is why he hasn't debuted until today (Riquelme and Gracian have had the position covered up) but I think he will definitely get more playing time (which he has been showing he deserves for awhile now in La Reserva

Damn so we have Riquelme, Chavez, Gracian, and now Gaitan for the position.
