I never experienced that until I had that run in with my ex's dad....it pissed me off something dirty! My only regret is that I kept my mouth shut. Like I said Im hardly religious but for someone to tell me so smugly that they're right and then mock me, fack that. I know some people would prefer not to stray away from their own ethnicity because sharing the same culture/values/language are hugely important and I respect that. However, you sound childish, shallow, and insecure when you write it out the way you did. You seem to like the girl since you claim to be dating her. That tells me you've gone out with quite a few times. Than you question yourself as perhaps selling out? Are you scared what your friends might say? Scared you might lose a few places in the "more Mexican than thou" thread? How does dating a non-Mexican make you less Mexican? I can only speak for myself.... The times that Ive being able to tolerate, let alone enjoy, the presence of a girl for more than a few dates (meaning after I hit) have been very few and far between. I say if you find one, hold onto it.
