    This, boys, is what I call an excellent marketing move on the part of the Mexicans. They have been sucking wind even with Erickson at the helm, loosing every friendly game.
    What better way to make the mexican team (and his very expensive coach) look good than to set up a match against the weakest team in South America. Hey...it is still a southamerican team (wink, wink), right?...right??

    And our own FBF obliges as the stupid morons they always are. This enfuriates me...argh!!!

    As long as our guys are getting paid... i wonder what guys will be willing to make it out.

    Good thing, is guys like arce will most likely get a chance to show his stuff, and possibly castillo? We have good internal players in our league, and we can maybe give htem a run for their money.

    Its a shame we can never get anything down for a official fifa date though.

    Well the good news is that Teams like Bolivar and Oriente, Wilster, Blooming are looking good, which is where most of the NT players play so cross your fingers

    Do we have any decent defenders playing in the league? We have ok midfielders, good forwards, and acceptable goalies; but do we have any classy defenders?

    I think our best defenders in the league are Ingnacio Garcia and Ronald Rivero both of these players were suppost to play outside of Bolivia this year, but idk if they are...

    Ignacio IMO is great on the wing, he has awsome crosses too! Anyone remember his pin point cross to botero vs. ecuador? Bangin' goal!

    Rivero is a good central defender.

    Read the last paragraph of that article and tell me it's not the same old shit with us. :rolleyes:

    If true, we already have two things going for us. First of all the field in Denver is grass unlike the last time we played the mexicans on turf in Dallas. That was the most infuriating thing the FBF ever pulled on our boys. They had never even SEEN a turf field and the day of the game they were running all over Dallas trying to get the right shoes. Idiotas :rolleyes:

    Second, the altura :D

    I think the games we've played against Mexico have been good and they havent handed us a lopsided win in a while. Let's not forget that Raldes is in town, so is Reyes and torrico, so i think we can send a good team. Botero might make it, who knows and yes castillo and Arce are around too, so let's hope we send a good team and not some no namers out there. The one thing I would like to see is Aranciaba (sorry for spelling) keeper for the U20 team. I think this would be a good test for his skills. That might be the one I wouldnt mind seeing. what do you guys think. (in hopes to showcase him more with "empresiarios" already wanting to sign him as was reported).

    Re: Bolivia- Mexico match in March

    Good points from everyone, I hate to be so optomistic after all the letdowns in this young year of 09, But i guess i like to suffer. anyways my point is that maybe we could see our starting defense in this game aginst Mex. My dream start would be

    -----------------Arias
    A. Reyes---Rivero----Raldes----I. Garcia
    ------W. Flores----D. Torrico
    M. Saucedo--------J. Campos (but he is out of surgery so i guess Vaca)
    Arce---------------------Castillio

    All of these players are in Bolivia so we might not be that bad off.

    subs
    Robles for Torrico
    Castellon for Castillio

    ^^^Thats a good line up, but i doubt torrico would be used in the back def. mid, he is a winger/offensive midfielder, and his play shows that.

    I could see Leonel Reyes being called up to play there, or maybe ignacio given a shot there.

    I see your point, but when he plays the wing he loses balls alot because of his tendency to be selfish, I prefer him in the middle because thats the way he played against paraguay in lapaz where he played his best on the NT. He is not fast, but he is quick without the ball so he can recover balls when defending and can drible in the middle with more room aswell but he has been playing as a winger in wilsterman. So lets see what sanchez does.

    Re: Bolivia- Mexico match in March

    Hey guys, I was brainstorming at work. About the National team for the friendly against Mexico, and this is my call up

    Keepers
    Arias (Bolivar)
    Suarez (Wilsterman)
    Robledo (Universitario)

    Center Backs
    Raldes (if he is still in Bolivia)
    Rivero (Universitario)
    Amador (Wilsereman)
    Mendez (Aurora)

    Left Wing backs
    A. Reyes (Bolivar)
    Marvin Bejarno (Universitario)
    Verdugez (Blooming)
    Hoyos (Bolivar)

    Righ Wing Backs
    I. Garica (Boliviar)
    E. Rodriguez (R. Potosi)
    P. Zabala (Universitario)

    Defensive Mids
    Ronald Gutierrez (Boliviar)
    J. Robles (Blooming)
    W. Flores (Bolivar)

    Left mids
    J. Campos (Oriente) if he recovers
    I. Huayhuata (Blooming)
    Vaca (Oriente)

    Right Mids
    M. Saucedo (Universitario)
    D. Torrico (Wilsterman)
    Oritiz (The Strongest)

    Forwards
    Arce (Oriente)
    Castillio (Oriente)
    S. Molina (Oriente)
    Castellon (Aurora)
    Sossa (Aurora)
    R. Galindo (The Strongest)

    I cant think of one Center mid, or attacking mid that is half decent. Really I am drawing a blank. The only one that comes to mind and he isn't even in bolivia is the canadian guy the one from the whitetops what his name its starts with an A?????????? Sad:(

    Re: Bolivia- Mexico match in March

    I'd like to see this.

    -----------------------arias--------------------

    Hoyos-----------Raldes---------Rivero--------I. Garcia(hes left footed)

    ------------------------Robles--------------------------
    Torrico-------------------------------------------A. Reyes
    --------------------------Vaca---------------------------

    -------------------------------------Arce-----------------
    -----------------------Castillo----------------------------

    This is the lineup i'd go with, Abdon lately has been playing for bolivar as a wing midfielder, he has good crosses and his speed and dribble make him bery dangerous on the left. I put Ignacio on the back left side, he lately too has been tearing it up for bolivar, he has lethal shots outside the box.

    Vaca is the only guy really that is qualified to play in the middle for us.....

    And the guy your thinking of is Vicente Arze. I think hes a forward.

    I think potentially with that lineup, we can do serious damage.

    Re: Bolivia- Mexico match in March

    Hey good lineup i would only tweek the wing backs I would put Ignacio on the right because if you put he on the left him and Reyes would step over each other. They are both every talented and I really don't think hoyo's has the speed for the mexican's. and I would try out either M. Bejarano who is beast or even let Verdugez get some more time with the senior team.

    The sad thing is the Enganche/ CM/ playmaker. I think Vaca is more effective on the wing's he doesn't have the presence for the middle. I hope that this season somebody show's up as an offensive mid from bolivia with the skills to help out the nt. I know one thing it will not be anyone in the u-20 team. Since we have all these defensive mids and no real enchanche i would play attacking on the wings and heavy on the defense using all defensive mids in front of our two center backs and the wings more of attacking with two pochers up front for counter attacks this is my line up

    ========================Arias==============
    ===================Raldes=====Rivero========
    I. Garcia=========================================A. Reyes
    ==========W. Flores====R. Gutierrez====Robles=============
    ============Vaca========================
    ====Arce=========================S. Molina

    I would have Reyes and Garcia carry the ball and have the tres tappones play a more defesnive role, I would play vaca more on the right and set up the counters with arce and molina getting feed on the wings and I would have castillio on the bench ready just in case molina chokes but I did like How he played in the u-20 so i would start him so it would be a 4-3-1-2

    ^^^Hmmm... true. I have never seen garcia play on the right though.

    But talking about a real '10' for the middle, that was Nacho Garcia for when we played brasil, he basically took vaca's spot there because vaca disappeared from that game. I wouldnt mind giving him a shot up there. He's bigger and stronger, and has all the ability to play good there.
