The clásico was originally scheduled for Friday but it was postponed to Monday, at 8:20 PM (Argentine time). The ref will be Néstor Pitana.

It looks like Román will be back.

¡¡¡VAMOS BOCA HAY QUE GANAR EL CLÁSICO!!!

Falcioni will reportedly try a 4-3-1-2, so I will represent it here as a 4-3-3. But Riquelme will be playing behind Mouche and Palermo.

    Likely Lineup:

[LINEUP-4-3-3]Mouche, Riquelme, Palermo, Colazo, Somoza, Chávez, Monzón, Caruzzo, Insaurralde, C.Rodriguez, Lucchetti[/LINEUP-4-3-3]

Román is back and Clemente also returns, taking the place of Cellay who is hurt again. Erviti aparently is the odd man out in midfield.

I think this is a good move by Falcioni. I always thought the 4-3-1-2 is the most logical formation to maximize Roman's game.

Also, Erviti hasn't played well alongside Riquelme, while Colazo and Chávez seem to be playing better. I think it's time to keep Erviti as an alternative to Román rather than ask him to play in his shadow, which doesn't seem to work out too well for him.

We'll need a strong defensive game from Somoza in this setup, and he's been improving lately. Now let's see if Palermo can have another strong game and can get into one of his scoring frenzies where everything he touches goes in. AGUANTE BOCA!!!

That bolded statement really inspired me. I'm going to have a killer asado at home as well, with colitas and entraña and chorizos and open a couple of Malbecs.

I like what Falcioni is doing with this lineup. Provided Roman can play more than just 2 games in a row, I think he should stick with it for the rest of the year. We need to start seeing this team gaining some momentum and carrying one good performance into the following week and so on.

A 2-1 victory would do quite nicely.

I think the 4-3-1-2 is the most logical formation as long as Román is in the team. I don't know why it took so long for Falcioni to figure it out.

If Erviti plays instead of Roman, the 4-4-2 makes more sense, but Erviti could also play in a 4-3-1-2 system if he's willing to be more aggressive.

Of course, the 4-3-1-2 puts a lot of pressure on the five, in this case Somoza, now that Battaglia is out. So he needs to play huge as well, for Boca to succeed.

Lets see how it works out tonight. I'm ready!

Not a bad first half, sweet golazo by Martin and Roman seems to be slowly getting into the game. Still a little shaky at the back but we'll see.

Palermo is the star so far. What a goal! And people say he doesn't have ball skills.

The defense is a bit shaky. Somebody needs to keep an eye on the Colombian fullback, and Patito is going to get Clemente a red if he's not careful. On the positive side, Boca is playing better with possession and the passing game and creating more chances.

What a disappointing finish. Our defense wasn't there at the 2nd half.

If palermo had scored that goal early in the second half it would have been a different story, in the first half we created quite a few chances but after that it was awful. A better team than independiente would have beaten us tonight. Im dreading the river game.. And why did falcioni bring riquelme and palermo off? I cant understand that decision, palermo was doing well, and id rather have one half fit riquelme on the pitch than 10 ervitis...

    FT: 1-1

Let's say it was a fair result considering how Independiente dominated the second half.

falcioni is proving to be even more incompetent than JJ Lopez... he spent all his off season trying to get Erviti... so i guess he plays him because he is trying to show he's worth it... but gotta say, considering the amount of money spent and his performances, worst signing of the clausura

Just when I thought Falcioni finally was starting to get it, he has to pull this small club shit again.

Indeed. So far I don't think it's even close. Check this:

Porque sacó a Palermo y Riquelme:

    ¿Cerrarle los espacios? ¿Contener a Independiente?

Mejor decí, “porque soy un cagón”
