Roncaglia can be so reckless at times, on top of not defending well tonight. I wouldn't mind seeing Sosa more.

That sucks. Two soft goals given. What a bad time to not have Schiavi!

Now they'll need to run the table on Arsenal.

So that sucked! On the one hand, I hate losing, especially when I consider their performance tonight a good one. On the other hand, it was an encouraging display. Hopefully, we can build on that. Again, I go back to Zamora. Those extra 2 points in the bank would be very useful right now. In any case, we got some work to do.

I had a feeling we could lose this game, but we gave a much better account than I thought we would.

We had so many chances, on another day we would have won comfortably, especially if we didnt gift them 2 goals. All in all im happy with the performance, we played much better than in other games that we won.

Now imagine, if we'd played like that against zamora, we'd have won 5-0.

Totally agree that it was an encouraging display. The attacks seemed to be fluent for the most part, but the finishing stopped by either center backs, or when they opened up on the flanks Boca would be beaten on the crosses (partly due to their GK never going out to get the ball). Anyway, I think it is clear that the defense depends a lot on Schiavi.

On another note, it's awesome to see my posts being removed. Pretty sure my posts are as valid as everyone else's (even if they're not in favor of Boca).

Bad time to lose el invicto. Oh well, they'll have to win the other group games.

I give credit to Flu. Even though I honestly think there was quite a bit of luck involved in the final result, nevertheless they came to La Bombonera to play, and when's the last time a team actually tried to play against Boca?

Usually teams put everybody behind the ball and then complain that Boca plays ugly.

Well we were complaining about winning ugly now we get the feeling of losing but playing well!
Fluminense deserve credit I agree they took their opportunities well and Cavalieri had a great game in goal.
Riquelme was brilliant I thought but we just couldn't finish the various great chances created.
We can still qualify but we are going to have to do it the hard way after these 2 opening games. We should really have six points instead of one, next week at Arsenal is huge!

Tough loss. As has been said already, we played to nice to not get the win. I know at one point our shots on goal was a good margin over Flu's. Not having Schiavi in there was definitely noticeable and honestly probably the reason we gave up two goals. I do like what I saw out of Silva and feel once he gets in a groove he's gonna be unstoppable. He also makes a hell of a target for Roman. Roman was simply brilliant and I think the threat of Tanque Silva gave hm just a little bit more time and space. Two straight victories against Arsenal while achievable isn't going to be easy but I think we can do it.

Though loss. I haven't been able to watch many Boca games now that FSE doesn't give the league matches and my internet is shit right now but I saw this and I was proud despite the loss. Boca were amazing really and it returned me to the days of Gago, Palacio, Ever, Ledesma, Palermo, hell even Datolo. And when Basile was killing everyone as coach. I'll be wearing my Tevez Boca shirt today.

I love this team and Riquelme will always be my man crush. Love that droopy bastard.

Jaja what the hell? I love Bad Brains as much as you apparently but what?

Rastafarians don't seem to like gay people just like a lot of Christians don't like theem. I don't have any issue. HR is the outspoken one.

and I didnt know it was just HR shoulda done my research. but really I see theyre still touring and see HR standing with his hands in his pockets and it just doesnt feel right.

I love Dr. Know for his style of play in a CBGB's era mostly dominated by people playing other stuff in terms of guitar, maybe aside from Television. He and Richarch Lloyd, Jon Verlaine influenced my style of play alot.

HR is a mess and has always been a mess and his ideas have always been a mess and he's always been known to say dumb things. Even if he was one of the greatest and influential frontmen of that era in punk/HC.

He's firm to his beliefs as a Rastafarian, just like a lot of Christians are firm to their beliefs that homosexuality is bad. I don't agree with any of that shit and I want to distance that from the actual music. They're weren't actually singing that shit in their best days. They had a positive message and where insane on stage. Even a few years back when I saw them live. They were still insane.

Anyway that ends the thread jack jaja.

I've never heard of that show. There was also a punk band from Cali called Dr. Know and a few people on here thought my screen name was because of them.

You've never heard of Dr. Know the TV show? I'm personally not a fan but it has one of the biggest cult followings out there. IIRC it's related to the book "the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy".

    Do you mean Dr. No?

BTW, are you in Austin now? Are you going to SXSW? A band that I used to be in and helped compose a lot of their songs are playing there tomorrow. They actually asked me to go and play with them but I couldn't.
