Most likely our starters today but I haven't found a confirmed line-up yet.

Sosa, Roncaglia, Schiavi, Insaurralde, Clemente, Ledesma, Erbes, Erviti, Román, Silva and Cvitanich.

edit: Too hungover and lazy to format it like ASF:D

A hard fought 3 points. Boca top of the table.

Any one else watch it? No activity in the game thread today.

I'm guessing the lack of activity may have to do with this being a saturday. I honestly didn't realize they were playing today. I was only about to catch little parts of it so I can't form an educated opinion about how they played.

I think the fact that its a feriado weekend, but I dont think most of the Boca posters are in Argentina. But I watched it, they played well. Theyve kinda become a machine, to me its fun to watch a team play that way. Its efficient, precise, and honestly pretty. They got too much shit for a few ugly games but results arent ugly so they could laugh all the way to the bank anyways. they leave a little too much space on defense in the midfield but have yet to be burnt by it.

Also I doubt anyone would agree with me. Especially since he's playing as well as he has in years, but I think the team might actually find it functions better without number ten.

I think SA was on to something about this being a Saturday match. I thought I saw the other day that it was tomorrow? I'm also pretty ragged from last night and watched the game in bed:eek:

AJ got off to a quick start and I thought it might be one of those games but fortunately that wasn't the case. Even though the score was only 2-1 it played out like a much harder beating. I believe we had 60-04ish possession but simply couldn't finish for shit.

Silva yet again had another amazing game with regards to winning balls and distribution. How he managed not to finish on the ball that deflected the far post is crazy. Ledesma didn't finish the rebound I think more out of surprise if anything. Dario was solid even though his goal was offside in the replay. Watch it again at full speed and it was not nearly as obvious. Mouche coming off the bench has been a very nice option.

The defense I also thought was really good and couldn't really find fault on Roncaglia on the goal. He was draped all over the AJ player and did all he could, simply a nice touch. Another A+ in the goalkeeping slot.

The midfield on the other hand was not too impressive. Roman even with the assist wasn't too involved and when he was he didn't seem to motivated. Erviti was the bright spot and Ledesma while aggressive seemed a step off. I think Erbes played for Somoza but if he did I couldn't tell. I don't think they called his name once.

Still a win and top of the standings. Nice Saturday afternoon after all.

Sometimes we do. Today was a classic example of a Roman going through the motions with the CL more on his mind. For the most part he's been the expected integral part of the team throughout and when he doesn't play there is always the one instance where he's missed. He's invaluable when you start the match from behind.

When Pochi plays the team is much quicker in the attack but they or he doesn't control the tempo as well as Roman but who does though. This is a problem to me if you give up a goal early.

I really like the balance and options we've played with. The depth on this side is also imo the best we've had in a while and probably better than the side that won the CL in 2007.

Oh hell no! So I can be the creepy old guy at the show?:D In the last year I've seen Motorhead and Iron Maiden, I think that's enough loud fast and aggressive music for a while. I'm also thinking about heading out of town for a few days before my month long vacation is over.

This was the first game i didnt see for a long while, i had to give up, i couldnt find a single stream that was working, i caught about 5 minutes of the first half so i decided to quit before the laptop went out of the window and checked the score on my phone.

So anyone know how we played?

It was a great result, after all the criticism we got (and i gave) recently, we seem to have started playing decent football, not beautiful but its not ugly anymore and most importantly are getting the results. If we continue playing like this i really cant see anyone challenging us, velez are good but they have the copa too and im not sure they have the strength in depth we have.

And what are racing doing in 17th place???? Shocking effort.

I was on vacation last week, took my wife and daughter to Orlando, so I didn't get a chance to get on-line. But it was nice to see Boca coming back from an early deficit to win. Those days when giving up a goal meant a loss are a distant memory. This version of Boca seems to be able to score as needed.

Well, between Boca winning, the amargos losing to Atlanta, and Argentina winning at Davis Cup it was a great sports weekend.
