Syracuse leads their game 5-4 in the 2nd. I haven't watched much of it, but as far as I can tell, the stream is a lot better than last night's. Chicago leads the Blast 5-2 as Farias takes advantage of some inexperience on the part of the Blast goalkeeper for a quick 3-pointer 18 seconds in and a goal directly off a restart. The stream just went down, though, right after a blue card to the Blast and a possible injury to a Soul player who seemed to fall into the boards.
Halftime in Syracuse. The Lancers came back to cut the lead to 5-4 after going down 5-0 early. The stream for the Soul-Blast game is still down, but I'm not sure play has restarted yet. Tweets from both the Soul and Blast indicate that Judson McKinney is still being attended to by the medical staff.
It's back up now. Farias scores again, this time on a shootout to make the lead 7-2. McKinney is out of the game with a possible broken arm according to the commentators.
Farias gets another for Chicago on a top of the arc replay. He's got all 9 points for Chicago. One top-of-the-arc, one shootout, one normal 2-pointer, one 3-pointer. Crazy game so far.
The commentators are talking about his inexperience at the indoor game, and looking at the goals he's allowed, I'd agree. He did poorly on the corner kick goal and the top of the arc goal by Chile. Also the shootout and the quick 3-pointer 18 seconds in.
Halftime in Baltimore, the Blast leading 10-9. Just 2 points scored in the 2nd quarter. 10-10 between Syracuse and Rochester after 3 quarters.
No, they can't. 21-13 Blast. It would be a complete blowout if the Blast goalkeeper hadn't gotten off to such a shaky start. Still, a 1-1 record isn't bad for the team's first two games.
I'd be a little scared if Sagu was still in Baltimore. Hernandez has a lot to learn about the indoor game. It will be interesting to see if the Blast can duplicate this type of scoring output against other opponents. Chicago showed some flashes at times tonight, but their offensive attack also seemed very chaotic at times.
They will get it down. There were some positives and negatives to look at from this game. Look at the tapes and work on gelling it better as a team. Not to shabby to be 1 - 1 on opening weekend of the MISL. The Blast started out slow but credit to them they picked up the pace and got the job done. I think Soul works on some of the mistakes they made and they will hopefully give Blast a better run next Friday.
the medical staff took him off in a strecher I think he broke his sholder in this game he was in a lot of pain
I was at the Blast game. Couple observations. Chile is good...for the first 15 minutes. After that he was slower on offense, and non-existent on defense. You could see him start to quit, and start to focus on the wrong things. Millwood and Neto are awesome. If they could get the guys making better runs, teams would have to change how they defend them. The second forwards, and other Blast runners, seemed confused on where to go once the ball got deep. The goalie for the Blast struggled. I would pressure him all day when its at his feet. For a big guy, he was surprisingly timid on setting up for free kicks. At least two of the goals were scored as he set up the wall and they shot it right where he was responsible for. Last point...either the ball or the carpet sucked. You could see where it would hop even after it was rolling flat for a few turns. Tough to play like that.
I have no clue how Troy Hernandez recorded 9 saves he had way less then that someone juiced those stats he had 5 saves at best our defence did all the work last night . I think the is affraid to use his hands you can tell he has never played indoor soccer before .
