So it looks like we'll be going with the same starting 11 as last week.

    -----Pizarro-----Rosenberg
    -----------Marin
    -----Trybull------Juno
    ---------Bargfrede
    -Hartherz--------------Fritz
    -----Sokratis---Affolter

Let's not only stay unbeaten this year but win another one!

Yeah I'm probably only going to be able to watch the first half also. Nurnberg is pressing our players pretty hard as soon as they get the ball and fouling if they don't get there in time.

    I'm here as well!

Hatherz's runs are impressive, but a little worried he might get caught up field. Marin came to play! :D

Nice to be able to sleep in for this one a little, eh?

The center of the pitch looks really congested, and everything is going up our left flank. Several times Marin has drifted over to the right flank unmarked, but no one is either willing or able to get him the ball. The same goes for Esswein on Nurnberg's left flank.

Man, lucky to have dodged that... Too close.

And now we're back to Werder as usual. Lucky to avoid a penalty call in our box, saved by a point-blank reflex punch by Wiese, and then Marin gives it away leading to a counter attack.

    Very nice!

Nurnberg have been pressing for the last few minutes. Not surprising, since they had to show up eventually. But I definitely preferred when all the play was in their third.

Today Nurnberg got the points with the same receipt we used last week in Hamburg. Next match is in a Berlin and it would not surprise me if our players screw that match as well.

What is missed is a player with playmaking skills. All successful Schaaf teams had one in Micoud, Diego and Özil. Since Özils departure Schaaf is unable to teach a young player how to play that position and Allofs only bought sh*t for that position.

    "Eisenfuß" Eilts,

What are your thoughts on potentially playing Ekici-Marin-Juno simultaneously? It seems like there should be enough talent there to develop SOME creativity.

But I agree with your point. We really need a good playmaker.

We'll also need a new striker soon, since the "ageless Pizarro" won't be around forever. (I don't see Rosenberg, Arno, or Avdic filling that roll...)

Interesting idea, this could work, but defensive minded midfielders need to be added IMO. A suitable formation could be a 4-5-1 with Fritz and Bargfrede (rotating with Trybull) added to midfield and Ignjovski as RB (Fritz current position).
