BegovicMujdza Spahic Cocalic LulicHadzic SalihovicStevanovic Pjanic ViscaDzekoA variation with Visca in the lineup as well. Wing overkill? No such thing.
Best video made, its on the website http://www.source.ba/clanak/3549451...rošlost, Brazil je naša budućnost/?ref=ostali
Holy shit look at the right and left sides.. Mujdza-Stevanovic, Lulic-Visca. So many chances for Dzeko. And Salihovic, Pjanic, Hadzic creating chances from down the middle. <33
And I respect it but I don't think our best lineup should include Rahimic, Medunjanin, Lulic (at LB), and Salihovic (at LW). Definetly the type of lineup Susic would use, minus Zukanovic of course. I think when it comes down to testing a lineup, it would be this for me; BegovicMujdza---Cocalic---Spahic---HadzicZahirovic---SalihovicVisca---Pjanic---LulicDzeko
Zahirovic isn't good enough to start. Hadzic at left-back? Not sure who's better between Stevanovic and Visca... very tough deciding who to start.
Zahirovic is still a good player. He can play well for us but he's been wasted at rightback so far for no reason. Pretty sure I've read somewhere that Hadzic can easily slot in at leftback. If that's the case, I'd rather have him there so that Lulic can play in a more advanced position. Cocalic can play there too. Maybe this would be better; BegovicMujdza---Zukanovic---Spahic---CocalicHadzic---SalihovicStevanovic---Pjanic---LulicDzeko
Just because a player played at a crucial position like LB doesn't mean he SHOULD. We have better and more secure options there. Why would you waste Cocalic like that?
I've watched Kvesic for quite some time and do think he should start in at least one friendly. He's only 21 years old and has been a total beast for Zeljo.
We have some quality talents in defensive midfield and in central defence, Cocalic's primary positions. Granted he might be better than some of these guys, but I think it would be interesting to try him out at leftback in a couple of friendlies and see how it goes. He's strong, quick, has good distribution, and likes to keep it simple as often as he can. I'd love a player like that on our left side of defense. Susic has tried Zahirovic and Pandza at rightback, Mravac at leftback, and Salihovic at leftback, positions these players have never played in before. Why would it be so strange to try Cocalic at leftback, considering that he's played there many times before in the past? Good call on Kvesic, Zeljo. He is a nifty little player, I would give him a try as well.
Have you guys noticed Dzeko's dip in performances for the NT when Susic arrived as coach? I find it interesting.
He came up big against Romania, France, and Germany, but has largely disappointed. Like I said earlier, the reason Dzeko, Ibisevic, and Misimovic play poorly for the national team continuously is definetly a tactical and communication issue with the management, and not their own disinterest and lack of effort for the national team. These guys were workhorses under Ciro and Muzurovic because they actually reached out to the players and gave them a role to play. Susic doesn't do any of that, he just picks them on his team sheets and just hopes they replicate their club form without any sort of instructions.
The problem is that speed is definitely not one of his strengths, average at best. He's an intelligent player that reads plays very well before they develop, helping him destroy attacks without the need of too much agility. Having him at LB would put even more pressure on him to read situations quicker. I would rather use a player like Kvesic or Subasic at the position and use Cocalic at the DM slot or as the perfect CB partner for Spahic. Can't afford to have an average speed LB in the modern game, we're slow as it is. Thats why Lulic often does well for us in that position, even though he's better suited to be an LM.
That's exactly it. I can't imagine Coca a left-back. I want a pure left-back playing that position, like Josip Kvesic.
That would be indeed the issue when facing a pacy and creative winger. However, the group we are in for the qualifiers is full of teams who lack those speedy players and are more defensive, narrow minded sides who like to play it through the middle. I don't think him being average at pace would be as big of a problem for this reason, he knows how to keep things simple and reads opposing players well as you said. I would prefer Subasic there really, but he seems to have gone off the boil after such a good fall with Dynamo Dresden. Kvesic as I already mentioned would be a good try out, he deserves a chance. Doubt Susic would like to be seen calling up all these Zeljo players since he is a Pitar.
I understand this might be cute for certain pitari but this is actually a pretty serious problem. It's affecting our qualifying campaigns. Cocalic was also a Zeljo player btw.
Was just being sarcastic, way to ruin the fun, Bob. But yeah it is a serious problem, I agree with that. Wouldn't mind Husejinovic getting tried out either, maybe he is capable of bringing something new to the team now that he is playing regularly again.
BegovicVranjes - Cocalic - Spahic - LulicHadzic -- SalihovicStevanovic - PjanicDzeko - IbisevicI predict a 2-1 win for us. Last time we lost, we had a disallowed goal whoch was an incorrect call and Dzeko + other important players were missing. I think that back-line could deal with the likes of Chicharito, the midfielders should be able to create chances (especially Stevanovic-Pjanic), the DM's should be helping with the creativity/chances/defense, and obviously Dzeko/Ibisevic shuld finish off what whatever chances we can create. We will do much better this time around in Chicago, I believe. My only worries are that if we beat Mexico and then Liechtenstein, then we'll get overconfident which comes with euphoria, as usual, then we screw up against Greece and Slovakia, and there goes World Cup 2014 in Brazil... Maybe I am just thinking too far ahead, though.
Does anybody know what time the game will be ET time? I won't be able to go to the game because my flight for Bosnia is on the same day..
