So the Sam Allardyce reign has come to an end. Don't know if he was pushed out the door or he stormed out of it. There are rumors he's heading to West Ham, which needs a relegation escape specialist something fierce. My guess is it was a combination of new ownership wanting him gone (bet your bottom dollar the Venky's folks have read and digested "Soccernomics") and Allardyce looking to jump to a new gig. It should be interesting to see if Rovers look to play a more adventurous style in the coming months. There's some danger involved, but I think there's enough talent in the squad to adapt more of a continental style. Now if the club just can bring back David Bentley.
Here's something that makes even more sense: http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/254692-blackburn-wants-maradona-as-manager
Maradona and Sven will not be happening. Sven has only been at Leicester for a couple of months, and Maradona wouldn't come to Rovers. I'm glad, personally, because if he did come, then everyone in the league would want Rovers to go down. '86 is still fresh in the memory. I don't like the way Big Sam went. Four wins out of our last six games. What more does the man need to do to keep his job. We've all seen it happen before. If you sack the manager when he's not doing badly, it can severely mess everything up. We could get relegated because of this. That's the kind of impact I'm talking about. Revelian
