According to reports in Italy in 24 to 48 hours there are going to be major arrests, including Serie A players, in relation to the betting scandal that rocked Serie B last summer.
Would be sweet if Lazio is involved and has points deducted and is banned from playing in Europe next year.
disgusting. Minute 3:45 [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drcKJEmzjwE"]Andrea Masiello *match fixed* own goal Bari-Lecce 0-2 - YouTube[/ame]
Man I wonder how Sampdoria fans are feeling right now. They got relegated partially thanks to Andrea Masiello. It really must burn. In many ways this is much worse than calciopoli. Say what you will but at least he was out to help his team. These are players who are living a dream, earning a fortune, and throwing games for money. Just pure and uncontrollable greed.
No I mean Sampdoria. They went into Serie B in part because of this result. Because Bari was relegated and they could throw this match. Today I'm hearing that Napoli and Lazio might be the next clubs to become involved. Rumors that the camorra are involved in fixing games in Napoli with the matches against Sampdoria, Parma, and Lecce being investigated. As for Lazio matches against Lecce and Genoa are being investigated and it's believed Mauri and Brocchi might be brought in to testify.
Speaking of cheating scum, Moggi had his appeal to overturn his lifetime ban denied. It's a good day.
This is why I was born in USA. literally. @DDR: I see. It's too bad for samp that their president couldn't get over Cassano's insults, now he is paying the price
He was completely right to act the way he did. You can't let an employee openly insult you in front of your entire organization. They likely would not even have been relegated if not because of the actions of certain Bari players, so to me he seems to be paying the price of some criminals' actions.
