Correct, the 3 boys and 3 girls finals played at the stadium field were televised on ESPN3.

Pretty good skill level, i must say! Do you know the crew who did that final? It involved a team from Maryland and FC Dallas. I thought they were very good.

Funniest story of my week was finding out I was accepted to the State Referee Clinic then getting a jury summons for the opening day of the clinic. Needless to say I requested a deferral to April (ironically just in time for HS playoffs to start). Best story of my week will hopefully come tomorrow...

Not a UFO but I've stopped play before so we could all watch a hot air balloon pass directly over the field no more than 30 feet up.

There is a large field complex right next door to a flight school that does sky diving all Saturday and Sunday. Every now and then, someone will have to cut away and the parachute will come fluttering down on or by the u-little fields.
And you thought it was had to get them to pay attention in a normal game... there's a dozen people jumping out of a plane over the field.

I've done games with the Goodyear blimp going overhead. At one point, I actually paused the game during a stoppage, suggested that everyone wave at the blimp, and then we got back on with the game . . .

Was doing a match last night at a ODP event. There is a shooting range(I think its a private one on a farm) on the other side of the tree line that surrounds the fields. Naturally we can here when someone is shooting while doing games. This had been going on throughout the afternoon and midway through the second half of the night games an explosion occurred. We discussed what it was after and we think someone launched a mortar. Didn't affect the game other than the players stopping for a second to ask "what the f*ck?" and look around.

One of the fields I work at is a National Guard facility. Parachutists are common. Helicopters too. Another field has a model plane flying club and all you hear for hours is that damn humm.

Isn't swearing just after an unexpected, large, ground shaking explosion is covered under Law 18?

Myself and my AR's included would have been included. Didn't want to write that report if I'm honest.

Could that potentially violate the undershorts color requirements?

My friend, I believe I speak for socal lurker as well when I say that the  and ;) faces denoted our utter sarcasm! In fact I would have questioned your common sense had you decided to discipline anyone!

I guess it would depend on the before and after colors. :)

I fully understood. My dry sense of humor is hard to bring across in the written word. I shall try to become a master of the emoticons such as yourself and socal lurker so as not to confuse in the future.
