Lol at using decimal places, as if 8.7 is any harder to pull out of one's ass than 8 or 9. :p

Therefore you can't make an comparison. Simple as that.

And what is silly about it? It was just to indicate that my own perception wasn't totally off the mark.

As if you are objective... come on.

I love how in all most every thread in this forum you have people trying to make Messi out to be something he is not. Messi is an unbelievable player best of today but I do not see him better than Zidane or many great players in the past. If you have to force people to believe something than usually it is not true. Messi at Barcelona is amazing but is that due to him or the many amazing players around him. I admit during the.World Cup Mess i was one of the best players expect for Argentina's most important match. Aganist Germany Messi disappered.

'Forcing' people to believe that Messi is better than Zidane.

    Now that's a new one.

I have seen over 50 threads of people talking on Messi's greatness. That is trying to force an opinion on others.

And alongside those there are at least 50 threads of people dismissing Messi's greatness. It's swings and roundabouts, both sides are as bad as each other.

Sure you can. We're comparing their performances in the entire World Cup, so why would what Messi does when Higuain is on the bench not count?

Bottom-line, Messi played well in 4 out of 5 matches. Higuain played well in 2 out of 4.

No you can't because Argentina was already qualified for the next round when Higuain was benched against Greece.

Although 90% of the threads about Messi aren't started by Messi fans. Most of them turn into circle-jerks by mouth-breathing Messi haters (you know who you are).

During the world cup and copa america, Messi was a bigger dissapoinment than Lebron James

    Orly?

One of the biggest chokes in past 10 years of football involved Eto'o. If Eto'o is one of your "favs" of all-time (*cough*) you'll know what incident I am talking about.

Messi actually performed in the World Cup. Argentina disrespected Germany by not respecting their counterattack.

I'm sure they respected it. The first goal was from a bad set-piece play and it stayed 1-nil until the last 25 minutes. At that point, Argentina had to start taking risks. Losing 4-nil is the same as losing 1-nil.
