has anyone in the atlanta area tried Chick-fil-A's shakes? my boss told me that they were testing them out in a couple of stores down there.
Yea, was going to mention Rally's but that has to really local. I also had a bad experience there when the workers couldn't get the machine to chill properly and I got what turned out to be falvored milk. But a solid call for Rally's.
I was gonna add them as my favorite. Love love love the strawberry!!! And they do use real fruit. Unfortunately, I haven't indulged in one in a long time. Bruster's also makes a mean shake, but since ice cream is pretty much all they do, I don't think they qualify.
even though they are lovely,i always think the mc shakes have a bit too much sugar in them, which leaves too sweet an aftertaste for my likeing.
Just curious, but in the U.S is there any milk in a milkshake? 'cos my brother has just come back from chicago, and apparently what is called a thickshake here is called a milkshake there, and a milkshake here is probably detestable to you lot, given that it has the same consistency as milk. P.S- the notion of putting cream in coffee disgusts us.. no offence
Usually the best places to get shakes are the local chains. Here in the Salt Lake area, Iceberg is my favorite. However for as good as their shakes are, their burgers are somewhat disappointing. Our family usually only gets dessert there.
That's one of my favorites too! Mmmm.... Also, Carl's Jr has just come out with new shakes. They actually make them right there when you order them, with the ice cream and all. If you haven't tried their shakes in awhile you've got to get back in there. Very good!
The shakes at Jack-in-the-Box are Southern California's best fast food shakes, better than Mickey D's, by a long shot, and marginally better than In-n-Out. Dairy Queen's Blizzard, which isn't truly a shake, is fine. Their shakes are OK. Foster Freeze makes excellent shakes. The food is scary, though. I tried to order a shake at Carl's Jr., and the store I went to didn't have them yet.
+1 vote here But I'll give a special mention to Arby's Reese Milkshake and 'Steak n Shake' dual Shake (Vanilla/Chocolate mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmh)
Hands down, Dairy Queen. Chocolate Malt made with Chocolate Ice Cream completely dominates all other shakes. However, I had a McD's chocolate shake the other day and I was pleasantly surprised at the taste. At least it sort of tasted like Chocolate, which is more than I can say for Arby's, who apparently dropped chocolate syrup from their recipie.
I'll have to admit that I like 3 things from McDonalds: 1. Strawberry milkshakes 2. Chicken McNuggets w/ sweet & sour sauce 3. Apple pie/tart (they still make the ones that burn the top of your mouth near me)
I'm a pumpkin pie addict. Food, candles, anything pumpkin pie taste or scent I have to have. So I tried one of these the other day and was disappointed. It was icky! Though the Blizzards are not truly shakes, the pumpkin pie Blizzard has this thing beat by miles.
