Yep, tried Urban today, and while I may go back, it would be for things other than their burgers, which might mean going to Urban BBQ instead anyways. Both Foster's and Five Guys are better burgers than Urban Burger Co.

Let me know about Elevation though.

I didn't make it to Elevation (they're in Falls Church, not Bethesda), but I did get to BGR in Bethesda. The burgers were pretty good; not as greasy as Five Guys, and the bun was fresh and held its own. The Sliders were a disaster, though - overcooked and too small for the bun. Was it worth the trip to Bethesda? Not really, but I have two or three Five Guys out here.

Hard to call it a fast food burger, but I had the Capital Grille burger today. It was worth it.

Well, I will give him credit at least for pointing out something that has been mostly overlooked so far in this thread: with chips in the middle. It's just got to be done.

Never have. Defintly the best in California. Way better then Tommy's(seriously? Tommy's?). I didn't really enjoy the 6 Dollar Burger any more(or less) then any other big chain burgers. In N Out is in it's own class. They are starting to expand further east...More and more stores are popping up in Nevada, Arizona and I believe a couple are going up(or are up?) in Utah. I'll ask my Brother tomorrow(he's a Painter for them).

An In N Out opened a few months ago in St. George, Utah which is just a few miles north of the southern border of the state.

St. George is roughly 100 miles on I-15 away from Las Vegas (the town is 300 miles from Salt Lake City) so they can service it with fresh ground meat and other fresh items out of Sin City. I don't know of any plans for more Utah locations at this time.

I haven't eaten fast food in about 2 months but damn I'd be in trouble if there was an In-n-Out here.

In-and-Out, no question about it (just had my first burger this weekend while out West). Their fries were ok, but their shakes were crap - which brough about the debate between myself and some family members about what would constitute the perfect fast food meal. The agreed upon conclusion was the following: In-and-Out burger, McDonalds fries, Steak and Shake shake.

Congratulations on eating your first In-N-Out burger. :) Haha..

Regarding the fries, I personally put Jack In The Box's curly fries, and Carls Jrs. and Burger King's fries over McDonalds'.

I had my first In-N-Out experience while in LA for the MLS Cup and thought it was excellent. I've been to 5 guys once and I think I like them a smidge better I'd have to do a blind taste test to be sure. The fries at 5 guys are light years better though. Fatburger is another place I've been to in the last 6 months and it pulls in a distant 3rd but still better than your average fast food joint.

I think Five Guys has better fries but In-N-Out has better burgers. A mix would be perfect.

When I was in LA for the MLS Cup I visted this place called The Counter
You pick your burger, bread and toppings. I got a veggie burger that was very good. The fries plate was ginormous (we took it to go). They're a chain but I had never heard of it and it was recommended in a LA guidebook I have.

I am fond of In-n-out burgers. They have many varieties and the burgers will be incredible, moist, flavorful and plentiful. McDonald's also serve good burgers but I don't like to eat there as they have more amount of beef...

I've never had an In-and-Out burger, but of all the fast food burgers I've tried, I'd say Fudrucker's were about the best. Not to mention they come in different sizes (1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 1 pound) and you can get them cooked how you like from medium rare to above.

The BBQ Bacon Sirloin Burger (I think that's the right name) at Jack in the Box is pretty darn good. I love BBQ bacon burgers. And I love putting onion rings on my burgers. So this one is perfect for me. It's really, really good, but not as good as the ones my husband makes fresh off the grill.

Awesome, that's where I work. It will be nice to have another place that sounds affordable in this mecca of way-overpriced restaurants they call the Town Center. The only place I can afford to eat now is Potbellies (no burgers there, but no one makes a better oatmeal choc. chip cookie :))
I'll have to take a walk to see where it is next time it isn't cold or rainy. I hope they have take-out, none of the other "burger places" here do.

As for mixing foods, when I was a kid we used to park between the two and one of us would run into Hardees for burgers and shakes, and the other would run into McDonalds for fries :) The burgers at Hardees aren't as good any more, but their shakes are still pretty good.
