I'll believe it when I see it, but it would be great if they did drop the useless boxes. This article does give me hope that they listened to the fans (a.k.a. consumers).
The 2010/2011 away jersey was released today: I like last year's away much better, and this year's home looks great as well. The colors for this jersey are OK, but the meo in the black box on the front and the Sagres in the red box in the back ruin it. Also, I don't like what appears to be a white outline around the emblem.
What is the obsession Portuguese companies have with the colored background boxes around their name. Would we really not know it is the same MEO if it was just written in Black letters on the shirt.
The black box around meo ruins it. Benfica needs to put an end to this. If it wasn't for the horrible ads, the jersey would actually look pretty good. BTW, the color is light orange and navy blue.
so theres a black meo box on the front...a light blue tmn box on the side....and a red sargres box on the back.... why not just make a jersey of all different color blocks and we can sell sponsor space to whoever
Don't like either home or away. Hopefully they come out with a black alternate or something. I am ashmwed I still dont have a Benfica jersey. Might have to buy an addidas Benfica jacket or something to compensate for my bad behavior.
The jerseys cant touch the 09/10 ones. The black is fresh as hell. Guess their running out of good ideas. All I know is a really want a David Luiz jersey, hope they manage to keep him. Their raising his salary today.

why Benfica doesnt just have a red home and switch between a white and black away is beyond me. and those boxes suck. the suck on our home, on our away they are outrageously awful. Hell they suck on Sporting and Porto's jerseys. F*ck capitalism
Don't know how much working out/sporting stuff you do but a nice option is the sleeveless training top. They've looked really great the last 3 years. I picked one up 2 years ago and wear it to the gym and for playing pickup all the time. It's kind of worn out now and will probably get this years version which is black and sweet as f@#k.
Benfica's training gear looks good as usual. TMN says it's too late to change the blue box for this season, but will make the alterations for next season. Why Benfica allows this is beyond me. As for the jerseys, I like the home jersey. It's not a throwback, but rather a jersey that pays homage to their first EC trophy. It looks good and has a classic look to it. Only negative part about it is the hideous TMN logo. The Sagres logo on the back doesn't help either. The away jersey I'm not feeling. I'm not a big fan of the color combo, but I can deal with that (although the darker shade of orange and maroon would have been better). Adidas used their worst template for it, add to that the white outline around the emblem (makes it look fake), TMN and Sagres, and you have a mess. On a Benfica fan site, I'd say its 50/50 for those who like or hate the home jersey, but 95% do not like the away jersey.
