I'm planning on singing it on 3/17. I'll also bring some 1/4 or 1/8 sheets with the lyrics for the folks around me.

It's on iTunes now. Search for Branden Steineckert and it comes up.

The way this has happened organically is interesting. I know a few of the people in the vid (have played pick up with them).

This would be so much cooler than a revisitation of some pop song. If successful, the song would likely cement "the RIOT" into semi-permanence ala the kop. That'd be cool.

i'm usually not a fan of these types of things as ringtones, but i succumbed. good stuff, i hope it really catches on. i can hear the song being chanted in the RioT just like the Ole Ole Ole, that would send chills down my spine.

It's already my ring tone. I can't wait to hear this on St. Patty's day.

I think we can consider "The RioT" cemented.

Cons: can't really chant it at away games.

    Pros: everything else.

agreed on the cons part, it was my one disapointment of the INCREDIBLY AWESOME chant.

Though, I guess you could just put the name of whatever stadium you were at in there.

"Here at the Dick, the Battle Hymns Begun"
    Here at the Clink
    Here at Jeld Wen(?)
    Here at BC Place
    etc etc

Well if you were a Colorado fan a better transposition might be

"Here at the Dick we're all ready to erupt
    and covered in disease-ridden sores..."

Why would I want this as a ring tone? It's already stuck in my brain almost all day long, I don't need any more reminders!

    Downloading now.

I understand wanting to be compensated for his work, but why not make the song and ringtone free in order to make it more available to RSL fans? True, $1.29 isn't much, but I know plenty of people who will say, "No thanks." simply because they don't want to pay for it. Are there iTunes regulations that prevent you from making the content free? Just curious.

pretty sure iTunes songs cannot be free. Apple probably takes 99% of this.

Average RSL fans probably won't even need to have this as a ringtone. Listening to it for free on youtube is enough, and a few play throughs will be enough for them to reemember it come gametime. Die hard fans that must have this as a ring tone probably won't mind the $1.29.

In fact, that's how you can tell where you stand. If you consider yourself a die hard fan but are unwilling to shell out 129 pennies for something this awesome than you need to take a long look in the mirror buddy.

    Not hating, just stating.

The unwillingness on my part is loading itunes on my computer. For the same company that created the famous "1984" commercial about computing freedom to now force everyone to use only their software just bothers me.

Don't worry, between Youtube and Audacity, the anthem will be mine (insert evil, diabolical laugh here)...

The unwillingness on my part is having a phone that can't have ring tones from itunes put on it.

A few RCB members went to a Grizzlies game tonight. This got played over the PA. Not sure if it was because a soccer group was there or just because the sound guy rocked, but either way, ********ing awesome.

I was at the Grizzlies game last night as well, I was pretty shocked to hear it being played, but couldn't have been more excited. My wife and I sang the whole anthem and people were asking us afterwards what it was! what a good way to rep the new song.

I wonder what it would take to get the KALL guys to play it occassional - as lead ins to RSL related segments or whatever. Anyone interested in sending emails, texts, tweets, etc.?

It really got played at a Grizzlies game? That's awesome

Now get it played, somehow, at a Jazz game and Larry Miller will die... again.
