Right, but "only got knocked-out early" twice. (Surely losing 1-0 to Italy in the R16 isn't "early").
OMFG are you kidding me? Our interminable wait is over? If true, THANKS so much for posting this. Can you post a source?
There have been many, many sources. Anyway, here is the "multichannel" press release which probably has the most details: http://www.multichannel.com/distribution/cablevision-adding-bein-sports-nets/148686 SA www.soccertvblog.com
Actually I've seen a few 90 in 30's on other channels and thought it was a nice option. You seem to look like to provoke people.
Thanks again for bringing this good news. SD & HD? Check. Included in my sports pack? Check. Beautiful.
How do you guys feel in general about Bein's scheduling of games on weekends for the last few weeks? Do you think it has improved?
I was very vocal on their lack of Serie A games in the beginning, but they've done a good job turning it around.
Ligue 1 has been literally unwatchable on BeIN in standard definition ever since it started using those stupid orange balls. The one league where I don't have to listen to Ray Hudson or Bodo Illgner and I can't watch it because I can't see the damn ball. How cruel.
Was getting better, but this upcoming weekend is another set-back. I thought they could at least show 1 RPL match as the league comes back from winter break, even if it were only to promote their streaming service. But I guess showing the Juve match 3 times on the same channel in a 12-hour span is just too tempting. Also there are 6 matches this weekend that will be shown on both beIN channels at the same time. That must set a new record or something. I can understand the Juve match given its early time, and Barca and Real Madrid I've gotten over, but Inter x Torino? Celta v Atleti? Udinese x Milan?
Well done cablevision just in time for the big game this weekend........Forest v Direby. I don't see optimum as an option yet on play.
If you're in Central Fla. both Bein channels are on free preview for digital subscribers this weekend http://brighthouse.com/central-florida/freepreviews
It is kinda lame that the Spanish beIN isn't included in the Sports Pack like ESPN/FOX Deportes, GOLTV in Spanish, and Univision Deportes on Brighthouse. As big as the Emir and Yousef think they're the US Cable Industry is bigger!
So far, beIN Sports have seventeen providers carrying this channel. DISH DIRECTV Comcast Time Warner Cable Bright House Networks Verizon FIOS AT&T U-Verse Advanced (or Advanced Cable Communications) Atlantic Broadband Claro enTouch Systems Hotwire Liberty Cablevision of Puerto Rico OneLink Communications RCN Cox Communications Cablevision (most recent)
What does mean this ? I know that in August 2012 beIN Sports reached only about 8 million homes in the USA. What is the actual situation ?
I'm certain beIN Sports reaches more than 40 million household when you factor with major providers such as Time Warner Cable, DIRECTV, Comcast, DISH, Cox Communications, and now Cablevision. I haven't done a tally for the approximate number. With all being said, it signals a positive development. It basically means beIN Sports made greater inroads to the satellite, cable, and broadband markets. At the beginning, it was tough to crack in this market segments. Just before the 2012-13 season, it started with only two or so providers (if my memory serve me correctly) - they are DIRECTV and DISH. Later on, the international sports channel slowly, but choppy, add more providers. Now, it seems beIN gained more acceptance.
40 million households sounds high to me when you consider that beIN is only available to people that subscribe to a Sports/Spanish Package. FSC had around 40 million households and was available on some cable systems on expanded digital service that cable customers would get with a cable box that customers didn't have to pay for an extra Sports/Spanish package to get the channel.
