Thanks for the update. Just generic corporate bullshit, I've went from upset to just coming to terms with watching crappy streams.
I live in northern Canada and have BEIN sport HD via dish network but do not watch it nearly as much as the NBC/Canadian channels that have the EPL and uefa champions league. The SPL games especially those involving the big two are too predictable and listening to Ray Hudson hype up those two teams is just to much for my ears. I do enjoy watching a good Italy game like last weekends H. Verona-Milan clash. My sympathies to serie A lovers which I know are many here in Canada. The lead female host on Bein used to live in Brandon, Manitoba of all places. Terry Leigh who used to do the old Fox Soccer Report out of Winnipeg.
Reading an article on The Global Mail the other day, looks like Rogers, Bell and Telus will challenge the current CRTC laws to close the "gap" and make an amendment that would prevent Verizon entering Canada....this is exactly what I have been talking about, these companies have always regulated the CRTC and always get their way, they don't want fair fair competition, so we users end up paying more for less ( although somehow with constant advertising they have made Canadians believe we get more for less) Let fair competition in!
article on CSN about BeIN being online finally http://www.canadiansoccernews.com/c...-in-Canada-but-still-with-a-lot-of-work-to-do
I am posting this From NJ but I feel the need to say what Bein sports is doing to fans in Canada is sham fall 1st of you shut the fans out a whole season then the next season you work out to least give the people Bein play. If they can’t get there network going in Canada then sell the Rites. I have to add people are talking about how the Strim was not working I can tell you guys Bein play never works. Shame on You Bein.

There are rumblings of the actual channels (English and Spanish Canadian channels) launching this weekend. Which providers may pick them up is a big question but the implementation of a fee for the streaming service does make sense if they are launching the channels. That doesn't mean I agree with the policy in any way shape or form. I certainly hope they don't start charging a fee for the US service. But I can see the Ethnic Channels Group (the Canadian company that is helping beIN get past the tough CRTC regulations) wanting beIN to charge for the streaming service in order to get people to subscribe to the actual TV channels. What sucks in this scenario is even if they launch this weekend, perhaps only 1-2 minor providers will offer the channel. beIN/ECG could have at least waited for the channel to be picked up by the bigger providers (Shaw, Bell, Rogers, etc.) before sticking the footy fans with a fee... Thanks for the info, I went through all the channels and searched and didn't see it though? Any idea what channel it's on?
I remember when I subscribed a couple of bucks for GOLTV Canada that had La Liga and Serie A. Was a pretty decent deal. beIn looks great on HD but they much like Sportsnet World and Setanta before them are dreaming that I am going to fork over $20 a month to watch a few games on the weekend. Maybe if they stop having commercials and instead have new episodes of Special1 TV. We're talking about 5 new episodes a day....then it might be worth it.
Haven't posted in a long time, now that BeIn is in Canada (it's been a while now) I went on Rogers, Bell and Shaw and it doesn't say anything whether this channel is on SD or HD, any help from subscribers?
