http://www.latimes.com/sports/print...8,0,2640177.story?coll=la-headlines-pe-sports Beckham described as "hobbling" on his bandaged ankle, Galaxy described by Yallop as "scared" in a 3-0 loss to Tigres... this is shaping up to be such an incredible, devastating, laughing-stock debacle of a situation. and I called it months ago. as much as I like being right and wish NO good will to the Galaxy in any form, I hate what it will do to MLS if Beckham can't play in front of half of these sell-out crowds and if LA miss the playoffs in such an appalling fashion.
Half that LAG roster is garbage. I watched the first half of the Tigres game last night and it was an embarrassment for American soccer. LA NEVER threatened and was constantly under attack. Vagenasil in particular looked like a bad joke. How is that guy starting for anything other than a USL expansion team? The only way I see Beckham making a huge impact on the field is if the refs gift them an abundance of close-range free kicks.
All I know that after watching a FSC news clip on Beckham's training at LAG's facility is that.....eursnobs are 15 yr old girls from California. Yesterday's clip had the usual training shots and commentary. One particular part of the clip included commentary stating that among the observers at LAG's training were teen girls. One of the teen girls (a pure Cali teen which you could tell by her accent, etc) was asked how she felt about Becks in LA. Her response "OMG! Awesome! I mean. He is one of the major players of the planet!!! playing in a minor league! OMG!!" D'oh! So. Next time you flame a eurosnob in BigSoccer, remember this, you may be flaming a 15 year old girl from California and...making her cry.
