i'd rather a close game than a rout, but Jesus, my dad's got the tv volume on some 35 when 15 would suffice. this then forces everyone to talk louder to be heard over teh tv, while i slowly go insane. at least this game is only 60 minutes rather than 90
i just really hope the pat's lose, cause then "shotgun, '72 dolphins" will be rendered useless.

college b-ball is fine, but pro is just a staged show, it's like watching snow melt. and yeah hockey's canadian, def a great sport, the fastest on 2 feet.
but football.. it's rugby for sissies.

Yeah, no doubt AmeriFoot is still quite physical but it isn't a patch on Rugby and is nowhere near as fun. Rugby is just awesome.

yeah, rugby's a great game. way underrated over here in the states.. but i'm not built for it. i'd get torn apart within a couple scrums.
anyone care to explain how the scoring works? i'm pretty interested

Polo is a real mans sport, for your Uppity up generation, The problem with NFL is that they dont bend the rules, allow for non stop play, I can't really stand to watch it

You'd be surprised. I used to play a great deal and I was only 11st. When you get hit by one of the heavys you stay hit though. There's only so much damage you can absorb.

Basically a try is like a touchdown, get 5 for that. Then you have the conversion much like Amerifoot but for 2 extra points. 3 for Drop kicks, or Field Goals to you. Then you get penalties for various offences, and you can choose to kick to touch, kick at goal if in range, scrum or run the ball.

ah.. alright. so for pentalties you can kick it under the post of over it?

If you want to score points with any kick it's over the posts. Same as American Football.

If you were talking about Gaelic Football, then that's a whole different story.
