Like LPB might be in first place already after MD 37. That's the only other realistic scenario. Neither scenario involves us finishing top 2 btw.

Funnily, LPB needs Barca to catch fire now. Not only do they probably need us to take pts on the final day, but they need us to get within 3 pts so that there is some incentive for Barca to field their A team that day.

Basically a title-clinching win by Juve today in Udine, 0-2. Just not enough tough matches left on their schedule now apart from the head-to-head against Roma for them to be caught now.

Damn, Pirlo is as talented with words as he is with set pieces. (Or at least his ghostwriter is... :cautious:) From his autobiography I Think Therefore I Play, looking back on the 2005 CL Final vs. Liverpool:

It's not predicting who will win. I believe the cartoon is saying, "6 days ago we dreamed of the Triplete, but as things stand right now we would accept this..."
aka Barca win the Copa, Pep wins the Champions and Atletico win La Liga.
aka LPB winning nothing is what we'd like to see.

Yeah, although this always felt like a year that Barca would win either 0 or 1 trophy. One would have to be quite the dreamer to think a treble was within reach. Its a no-brainer that we'd take that offer of only winning CdR & LPB winning nothing now.

Heck, I would probably even take LPB winning CdR, AM winning La Liga and a AM/Bayern CL final. Beggars can't be too picky. I mean, Barca just lost a game to Granada where they only needed a draw to keep alive a decent chance of winning La Liga. They may not win another match this season.

Yeah, so many twists-n-turns in the English Prem races. Man City were in excellent shape to win the title 90 playing minutes ago, but now in huge trouble! Race for 4th also totally flipped on its head again.

City need at least a draw to stay alive, one would think.

Well, Man City get a point thanks to that huge error by Mannone, the Sunderland 'keeper. Still a pretty bad result since now even IF Liverpool v Chelsea finishes in a tie (best case scenario), Man City will still need Liverpool to drop points elsewhere.

But room for error now for Liverpool. They no longer have to win that Chelsea match. And they're at home...

Gotta give Poyet and his team credit for the amazing results against big teams this season.

Wenger can learn from him.. :whistling:

I hope Chelsea bottle it. All those games in which they could afford to not attack or the team with pressure on them. Let's see what happens when they must be on the offensive no matter what (screw PSG they were weak)
Last night in the Romanian Cup Petrolul a team that advanced twice due to last minute goals + won a couple of points in the last minutes in the league, were eliminated in the 94th minute. So so good

You can compare it to Uruguay
Bale in the end will not be worth it. Di Maria is better. So is Isco

    Remember this

    Still a flop
