That would be great. What if they were to play an MLS team or even a Mexican team? Would you guys still travel?

Awesome, would be great to see a bigger turnout than the last time they were here. Huge hispanic audience here too so might be a Mexican team in my estimation.

Yeah I'm planning my trip to Germany so I'm there for the knockout stage of the WC and come back home a few days after the final, so I'll be there for the games. I'm seriously thinking of going to the game in Portland instead and tour the Northwest since I've never been there. I hate NYC.

I just hate the city overall. I stayed with a friend she goes to Columbia so I stayed in the dorm with her, and then another friend she went to NYU so I stayed with her too. Kind of went all over the place and I just hate that city. IMO Chicago is just so much better and going into NYC I was expecting them to have a better city overall.

Hey! Watch who you are calling old, you bastard!!! ;) By old guys he means posters that used to be regulars in this forum. And that we are old-er.

Yes, Cris09, CoachCW, ShealyGG and Eissman all traveled from NYC to DC by train to enjoy the match. Met up with WoodietheNetminder for breakfast, and Brian McBride pre-game in front of stadium. Found NekkiBasara after game. Will post photo once I can send it from phone.

    GREAT time!!!

    some more infos from munich.
the sale for the portland game starts today at 10am PST.
Bayern supporters have their own sections (222 & 223) with a total of 500 ticktes/seats. the price is $65. If you are in a Bayern Fan/Supporter-Club you can get ticktes for that section thru your Club.
The game in NYC is on July 31st. Still nothing on the venue/opponent or price, only that ticktes will go on sale later this month.

I think we can rule out NYRB as an opponent - they play at Real Salt Lake the day before...

LOL... so much for my theory! :)

This rules out Man City as they play Liverpool the nice before.
In my initial link they mentioned a potential 3 games from Bayern in the USA Tour... Portland, NYC, and ???

If Bayern are linked with a date on July 31 and Aug 6, then a date in the middle of those two would make sense... possibly Aug-3? That would be....

July 31 (Thur) - Game in NYC vs. __________
    Aug 1 (Fri) - training
    Aug 2 (Sat) - training
Aug 3 (Sun) - Game in (TBA) vs. __________
    Aug 4 (Mon) - training
    Aug 5 (Tues) - training
Aug 6 (Wed) - Game in Portland vs MLS All-stars

Based on the World Cup 2014 and past preseason schedules, the Audi Cup will not be scheduled as it is every two years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_Cup

Bundesliga and Pokal games typically start the first weekend in August, so this is a scheduling concern to consider. My guess is Bayern may have a Bundesliga game Aug-10.

actually the german supercup is scheduled for 8/9/14, but Bayern is already in discussion with the DFL to reschedule that game.
german cup begins 8/15/14 and the bundesliga finally starts at 8/22/14

Still no word for a third game, but you´re right there is more than enough time.

$65 per ticket and travel to Portland? Meh, not sure if I want to go to either to be honest. I prefer just traveling in Germany to watch the Supercup. I guess New York is do-able in a day but I absolutely can't stand that city.

I'm guessing ESPN or whoever has the rights to the ASG will show that one. Then our friendly will probably be shown there or on FS1 or 2.
