at this point Hanke won't contribute much in attack so better to throw on some pacier players who might actually create something if Gladbach can counter properly.

I really hope Dante gets recognition this season world wide as the world class defender he is. So complete. Neuer must love him.

Pizzaro on for Muller. Heynckes countering Favre's defensive sub. That doesn't happen very often

Gomez physically occupying CB's and inviting wingers created problems and resulted in goal. Not sure why Bayern stopped doing that in favor of going wide...

Gladbach strength is in the air at the back.

Gladbach is not a good enough squad to not get the win and full 3 points at home. Disappointing result tonight and Herbsmeister means nothing to me.

It was a very good second half by the team, every single player stepped up his game. We were quite unlucky today, but a good game nevertheless. Credit to Ter Stegen for some great saves.

seriously whats up with all this weak referees. I mean joke of the day Cigerci got his yellow card in the 70th minute wtf ? That should have been his second yellow how many tackles he had from behind, plus that was no offside. Gomez was jogging half the time upfront when Gladbach had the ball

    Ref blaming total nonsense.

Gladbach played very well to start and reverted their tactics to absorb pressure in which case they won nearly all aerial duels and didn't have an issue with Bayern's overall crosses strategy. It was a tactical victory so to speak form Favre but Bayer didn't do themselves any favor with their tactical approach which looked bad from the start, then got better, then worse, then better resulting in goal and then to predictably worse to playing into Gladbach's hands.

ref blaming is never going to work because these refs never pull back their decision thus blaming is useless. BmG did great today. maybe they even took consideration of the fact that the Ref isn't so good into their strategy. Good display by them and hopefully they go far in the europa league.

Please enlighten us about how many goal chances BMG had ...

If we could take our chances this would be a Blow out ... And you wouldn't be talking about how "great" BMG played ...

And how come is non-sense the referee bashing if they gifted them a PK and did nothing while Gomez were racked from behind inside the Area (if that's not a PK I don't know what is) and he didn't do shit ???

I'm even going to mentionate Gigerci foul fest and the Ribéry offside (clear chance of goal) ...

Please, enlighten us with your wisdom ...

    I don't understand your point.

Your argument seems to imply that the difference today was the referee. It's glaring that Bayern's approach to the match should be the talking point, similarly, the way Gladbach dealt with it. Referee decisions that might be questionable happen EVERY match. The penalty wasn't as clearly 'bad' as it's made out to be because in truth those things are given quite frequently.

Cigerci, sure you have a point, he could technically have been carded earlier but if he had a yellow he wouldn't have continued to play like he did and probably subbed out, so that's a moot point.

Don't agree on Gomez being racked down either.

I just don't see this great game played by BMG that you are talking about ... We had the chance to crush them, but due to our ineffectiveness we didn't ... So it's more due to our shortcomings then due the greatness of BMG ...

Adding to that, the PK the referee gave a PK that was highly debatable and that shifted the fluidity of the game ...

If Cigerci was carded, certainly he'd play more conservative, but that don't rule out the chance of him getting a red ...

And IMHO, it was a clear PK on Gomez ...

Do you think that a team can have a great game only defensively? Because that's what I am referring to. Bayern should have outscored them but you didn't. Part of it is because of your failed tactical approach and part of it was the way Favre adjusted and for a team that creates the most scoring chances in Europe (Bayern) keeping the ball out of the net like that deserves such praise.

And Favre is not a fluke, he's done this regularly and he did it again today.
