    I'm jealous...

do you have stats for him? I'm just wondering what kind of scores that type of batsman is capable of... also, what's his stamina?

I'd be happy w/ that draw if that were the case and I'd like my chances to go to the next round, but I won't GFI, the other teams still left in the Cup are too good and I'd rather use my fitness levels for promotion.

i have a feeling i'm going to get smoked on friday. playing the 2nd place team in my series. If I GFI I might haev a chance, that is if he decides to play TIE so he can play GFI in the cup. However, this is a real outside chance and will put my fitness level down to "low" with a match against the 1st place team the following week. I'm actually thinking of playing TIE so I can get my fitness levels up even more and will be able to GFI more in the second half of the season.

You're kidding me. I still don't get a home match?! ugh, this does not look good for my finances as my next 3 league games are away.

His stamina is currently at mediocre, undergoing training. Partway trained at strong batting, current BT rating is 24,620

His stat line for the season looks like...
    10 MP
    1080 runs
    4 not out
    109.42 SR
    177 high score

    Against non-bot opposition this season...
122/117 against Trini Devilz 11 in cup round 2
91/104 against Cumberland in league round 1
143/139 not out against Avalon Angels in cup round 3
161/144 not out against Koivukylän pyllistys in league round 3 (not a bot, but not very good)
90/80 in the cup last week (bot now, but I think not then considering his total)
177/124 in the cup yesterday (surprising to me because I slaughtered a bunch of bowlers who were all in good form and carrying a decent economy rate)

There were a ridiculous number of upsets, but given the discussion in sledging that shouldn't be a huge surprise. Clearly, fitness is having a huge effect, which is a big benefit to the lower-seeded teams in III playing the higher-seeded teams in II.

Same here, but I actually gain about 6k on road weeks so I'm not overly concerned.

Can u really call them upsets though? My team isn't THAT much worse than any team that's in D.II this year... there's only been one season... of course the DII teams on average are better, but these so called upsets happen w/ teams who were one match out of promoting last year in a tough series to teams who won an all bot series or something similar.

The Divide between higher levels and lower levels isn't vast just yet.

my team is a great example. you would probably smoke me right now, yet I got promoted last season. I'm trying to devise a way I can stay up, some good youth pulls will help in that regards, plus my fitness level.

thats good. mine is proficient. It should be higher but I didn't put any money into it for half the season because I'm an idiot! The last two youth pulls I've gotten have been good. I'm keeping both and training both.

damn, the most I've sold a youth for is 1,000 and I've been at proficient for at least 5 weeks.

I don't think the academies start to produce until they hit strong. I made 220k on my most recent youth pull. I know that I've been funding it full blast since the beginning, and I'm at strong. I'm expecting the final pop to happen pretty soon.

I did better with YPs when my youth squad was bad. IIRC Seargeant came out of a zero-investment squad.

Mine is at strong and I have been investing the max since day 1.

I now have more than $800K in the bank. That should soak up three road matches in a row quite well :)

Looking for an all rounder if anyone is selling one, preferably minimum competent bowling w/ mediocre batting. May look for even higher bowling if possible.

Hey, I'm cheap too... I've bought one player... of course I invested the max in my youth academy, but I've got 6 starters who came from my academy. If I'd tried to buy those players it would have been a whole lot more expensive.

Heck of a game I am in -- I am TIE so it is a lot closer than it should be.

He made 296-6, I am 231-4, with a req. run rate of 7.33

Gulp, don't want to lose my unbeaten streak in the league ...

TIE or atleast I supposed to be, but I'm wondering since I've got him on the ropes.

    End of Over 14: 60-4, runrate=4.29

i'm TIEing it against the #2 team! I ahve him at 77-1 (5.50 run rate). i'm guessing he is TIEing it as well so he can GFI in the cup and even with that he'll smoke me. He would've beaten me even if I played normal.
