    We're killing them.

I shouldn't have GFI but I thought they would and a Normal might not have been enough. Oh well.

    I set them 323/1

they are 64/4 after 12 overs.

I put up a ridiculous target of 393-4, Sulieman Seargeant getting 179 I think, but my bowlers are doing their best to make an interesting match of it, conceding a run rate of 6.19 through 16 overs. That's not enough, but it'll make things more interesting than I'd prefer.

Goodness me! The batsmen have collided while taking the single, what a simple run out for the feilding side.

a dive to the left with hand outstretched sees a superb catch from Owens in the slips.

Oh that's magnificent! Cat-like reactions from first slip to take that catch. They'll be replaying that one a few times in the studio.

Yes, got him! Shove that up your arse Tony Grieg. Simply marvellous effort! What a hero! Knocked the middle stump clean out of the ground!

    commentator is havin fun!

Norse with remarkable top-order batting and superb seam bowling. As I think I had anticipated last week, my opponent had better spin than seam bowling, which probably hurt them on the cracked pitch.

winningconnection got a 280 run partnership out of the openers en route to a 192-run win. Superb top-order batting, proficient seam bowling, and strong spin bowling for the winning side.

I'm not sure if there's anybody else I'm looking for in the Windies?

the bad news is maybe I shouldn't have GFI... the good news is, I've got a TIE coming up and if I GFI again in the cup I'll have another TIE after that one...

At this stage I'm not sure what to do though, as I've got after that match a make or break game against the series leaders... perhaps going for it in the cup isn't wise... well I'll have to see who I'm drawn with because getting to the round of 8 would be HUGE. Of course, in the long run, promoting would be better for the team.

I got owned playing the defending champs on TIE. It took him 14 overs to meet my massive target of 82 runs, and he had a quality top order rating.

I'm still in the cup after a close 307/2 - 306/4 win. I believe I'll have a home match next week.

In two weeks time I plan to start the BS Battrick Cup, if anyone is still in their national country's cup then I will reconfigure the tourney to accomodate.

training for the Windies is done:

    +4/-1 on form

wicketkeeper popped to competant (he's 23, took about 7 weeks, not sure if I'll keep taking up the spot). he also popped to competent conc, so he's respectable/competent. The only other pop I had was stamina for my new youth pull (worthless to abysmal). However, his BT rating jumped about 1,800 points! I also had another player who's BT rating jumped 900 (with no pops just a change in form)

Form was decent... (don't have a tool for BT yet) but no pops although 2 players had nice BTR jumps.

None of the three BS Cup squads still in the Windies cup look to be matched up against each other. The tentative draw sees:

11 winningconnection hosts 6 Rovers Town
7 Los Burritos at 10 Shadoedale CC
9 Norse AC hosts 8 Knuckleheads

(seeds are among remaining teams, bold is favored based on previous round ratings)

Oddly enough, a win could see Norse on the road for round 7 after hosting for three straight weeks.

In training, Sulieman Seargeant popped to quality concentration, to go along with his strong batting.

Incidentally... I'm still at energetic this week after playing normal in the cup and TIE in league. It looks to me as though a normal/TIE pairing like that results in fitness gradually going up, i.e. we make up more from the TIE than we give up due to normal leakage during the week. My ratings are going to be sick when I finally spend that in a GFI.
