Won today at long last. I was finally able to play my new allrounder as his PF finally permitted it. He wasn't phenomenal by any means Gibbons7.3/0/40/2

but those 2 wickets were crucial in the end and he allowed me to stagger my top 2 bowlers while not letting my worst bowler get smashed for a million (he was opening the bowling) and that allowed my top two bowlers to combine for 6 wickets.

Top four in my series play tomorrow.

I am third, tied with the top two who play each other.

    Thanks Bluto. Keep me posted.

    I don't think I have set a high enough total. :(

No series title for me this season, I don't think. Looks like Doctors are about to get a big edge, as they'll have taken the road match with me and also beaten SandTigers.

    and i lost

not really sure how. we had the same rating for seam bowling and top order. he has a great bat and then one ok and one who sucks. i have one who sucks and two that are ok. my best bowler took 1 ********ing wicket. it is insane. 1 wicket in 2 matches. weather was cloudy and humid on a slow pitch and i couldn't even defend 258 runs. i seriously think that Allan changed something in the match engine

Next week my series battle continues with the top 4 playing again, but playing different opponents.

    Becoming a must win game.

Into the last 16 of the cup! Thanks to a fairly comfortable 65 run victory :)

I'm a bit annoyed that enough teams ranked above me lost to bring my rank up to 8, which means that after nearly 2 years of playing i still wont have ever had a home cup game

Should be a great game next week with some fantastic batters meeting on a hard and fast pitch, i'll be playing very different tactics to my usual.

I'll also be dropping nets on my key players and resting them on friday, so hopefully it all pays off!

Restricted my opponent to 268-4, now I have to go to work. :(

My batsmen should pull this off. I will be very disappointed if they don't.

Keeping a close eye on Walshy Wonders today too, playing Burns Boys -- Burns beat me last week and I play Walshy next IIRC.

Looks like your doing pretty well in reply...

    End of Over 18: 113-2, runrate=6.28, reqrunrate=4.88 (268-4)
    Rafiq 4-0-26-1
    Goodlad* 17 (16 balls)
    Larkman 47 (50 balls)

Last Wicket: Nicholas b. Rafiq 31 (FOW: 85/2)

I'm looking good for a good win in what could have been a tricky match since i'm playing TIE and resting players.

Also all of the top 4 look they they're going to win which will help me cement my place in the top half :)

Thanks Andy. Doing well with the runrate.

I would like to see Larkman get a ton, that will ensure a win :)

    As expected.

The guy that beat me should promote, but unless I improve somehow I will not be in the top two next season either.

Considering some serious stamina training as my ratings are better than my opponents, but I keep losing :(
