I think the name should be changed to the Barra Brava Mini Gof tournament to match the email..... Every other Barra mini golf charity event has been fantastic. I encourage all to attend.

A couple of quick updates: sending an email is the way to register. you don't need to pay upfront but you do need you, your teammates in an email so i can move them to my spreadsheet. please don't send "maybe" or "no" emails. I"d really like to get at least 100 players this year. we have 4 confirmed sponsors (not bad for one day) and 4-5 more to lock down. we really want to get 18 this year so any leads you have, please let me know. we've already gotten some great donantions including a Ben Olsen Nottingham Forest jersey and guided fly fishing trip. thanks to our members who given these great prizes and we look forward to more donations.

Just a quick update on the Sponsorships. We've gotten 6 companies signed up (its $250) and we still need to find 12 more. We have 5-6 tentative ones set up but we still really want to get all 18 holes sold. If you have any leads please let us know. I'm happy to contact folks if you aren't comfortable asking. I can give you more info or put you in touch with United for DC if you need more info.
Do you have a press kit or a press release that we can use to shop around? I feel a little uneasy about going up to a company and saying "Hey, a bunch of soccer hooligans are looking for sponsors for their holes."
i usually use the u4dc stuff. i'm not sure we should really be "cold calling" but try and get with folks we have an "in" with. blondie is handling our PR, if you want to contact her i'm sure she can give some of our 06 press stuff.
I wasn't going to cold call but ask around to businesses that I knew but many companies needs proof of 501(c)3 status and whatnot before they can make a donation.
