I just watched the 2-2 where Ronaldo scored first, and Varane scored the header. Karim missed a complete sitter, hit onto the post. All I ask is that we don't miss absolute sitters, and we don't do silly shit in defence.

Last post before I cut myself off from the world in order to avoid spoiling the match for myself.

Jose Mourinho was brought in for these matches. It wasn't long ago that our guys played scared in these big matches and went to pieces mentally at the first sign of adversity. Say what you want about his tactics, his methods, his stubbornness, his combativeness, his record, his [supposedly] impending departure, or anything else, it is undeniable that he's instilled a sense of self-belief and confidence in this squad that we had not seen for a long time. He's gotten us over the mental block, and I'm not sure there are many managers out there that could have done that. Shitty league form and maddening inconsistency and all, I believe in this side. This group has played its best matches in big games. I'm typically a pessimist, but I believe we go through today and next Tuesday. ¡Hasta el Final, Vamos Real!

I would go with:

Ramos, Pepe, Varane, Coentrao, Xabi, Khedira, Di Maria, Kaka, Özil, Ronaldo. Or perhaps even Modrić in Di Maria's place.
