Dude is always going to get a pass from me - even if he's turned into a Spin Doctor - how was he elected in NYC of all places though?

He avoided the Democratic primaries, plus crime and debt?

Some of us voted in our living rooms in our pj's.

I'm getting pretty tired of the EuroSmug around here.

I heard ballots get discarded if there's a pube in the envelope.

We voted following the RSL-Seattle game on Friday night, wearing Salt Lake gear. I wonder if our choices were influenced by Nick Rimando playing such an out-of-this-world game at goalkeeper?

Weird thing on our WA ballots this year: the signature panel on the envelopes in which we place our ballots has always been underneath the envelope flap in past elections. This time, though - I don't know why we get to cover up our printed name label so it is private but then have to sign and add our phone number in the open, as it were, below rather than beneath the flap.

He was fantastic as NYC mayor. He was a Republican and Liberal (when NY still had that party line). Until 9/10/01 there wasn't a Republican in the US that wanted to have anything to do with him.

Since then, since he has found the quick way to get money from said Republicans, he has become a droning windbag.

No, those ballots are immediately sent to the USSC to be reviewed for irregularities by a certain Justice drinking a Coca Cola.

We are a 3rd world country. And a 2nd, and a 1st, and the square root of -1. We are large, we contain multitudes.

Took me 15 minutes and I got an "I Voted" sticker.

Did you get a sticker in the UK?

    That's what I thought

Mention Guiliani's name in a black neighborhood today and they'll tell you straight-up that he was genocidal. There aren't a lot of people, and certainly no mayors, who have been worse for civil rights and civil liberties since Richard Nixon.

John Goodman did that. You can thank him later ;)

Apparently, a friend of mine just texted me as he is working in a polling place today. It's a circus in Centreville VA. His polling place, where you never had to wait more than 10 minutes, has a line doubling around the building. That precinct, left leaning, was merged with a bunch of others...but with no additional machines.

How this sort of thing is allowed to in a modern democracy is beyond comprehension...

Can we sort of set a limit on posts lamenting the end of our democracy just because there are lines to vote? For every story about voting cluster********s, there are probably dozens of precincts where it's going smoothly. But we don't hear about that crap.

We're the richest country in the history of human civilization. Every precinct should go smoothly and there shouldn't be lines around buildings in order to vote. Period. End of.
