i can't find the post now, but a few weeks ago someone on this forum posted this video clip from US women's 'soccer' of elizabeth lambert pulling an opponent to the ground by her hair: i thought that was a pretty dirty move at the time. but then recently i came accross this video that shows more highlights of lambert ... all from the same game as the clip above! this is all in one match! she's like a pepe without a peepee!
Just to be very clear that woman, Elizabeth Lambert, did not play for the US Women's National Team just for University of New Mexico (in a game vs. BYU). The "US women's 'soccer'" seemed like it might be confusing, she was a division one college player but no NT member or pro. She got a yellow card only in that game, but then got a 2 game suspension once the videos came to light. She may never live down the notoriety (the video was from 2009).
OK, finally played this after it's been on the internet for a couple days, it is cute but I'm posting it because I really smiled when I realized half way through the corny country pop song it is based upon:
Want to bone up on your Barça history? This is an incredible treasure trove: a Youtube channel/playlist of FULL Barça matches from 1962 to 2012!! http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdhUZmiLpD5gp5RvdPCvvrvJ1OF5o2UBX Jaume Naveira, whoever you are, you are a culé legend.
Check out the Qatar Airways/FCB team photo video here: http://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/barca-divierte-puesta-largo-con-qatar-airways-2606531 Notice VV's reaction to the sight of Rossell (1:23). And Puyol chewing out Pique (once again?) for showing up late. And what's going on at the very end between Cesc and Alexis. All bro-hugging and then...?? My theory: Alexis just ripped a juicy one.
Enjoy it before the party poopers show up to whisk it away from us... a youtube channel featuring full matches in HD: http://www.youtube.com/user/AFCHighdef/videos When youtube does crack down, the same user appears to have accounts at dailymotion: http://www.dailymotion.com/user/BarcelonaFullMatches/1 and metacafe: http://www.metacafe.com/channels/barcelonafullmatches/
At a full 25 players I think that this is the biggest squad we've had in many years. Of course Affelay and/or Cuenca could both be gone in January on a sale or loan assuming they are healthy, and of course it remains to be seen how much time some other players get (Oier, Bartra, JDS, Sergi Roberto chief among them, followed by Montoya, Song, and Tello). Absent all of those players we'd rely on just a 16 player core of 2 GKs, 3 CBs (including still injured Puyol, 3 FBs, 4 midfielders, 4 forwards). However, I am much more hopeful about Montoya, Song, and Tello getting meaningful minutes which immediately boosts us to 19 regularly played squad members: 2 GKs, 3 CBs (including still injured Puyol), 4 FBs, 5 midfielders, and 5 forwards. If healthy that's enough and even with injuries we have the other 6 first team members ready if needed: (Oier, Bartra, JDS, and Sergi Roberto plus Cuenca and Affelay) plus the B teamers such as Dongou and Bagnack.

From the Spain national team forum to the Barca forum, the newbie spammer makes his rounds. Where will he strike next?
"Cesc, the bunker buster" Great analysis from the Sevilla match of Cesc's positioning between the opponents' defensive lines.
I didn;t know where to put this info so I thought I put it here Tomorrow is the 30th anniversary of one of football’s most infamous fouls. Google it and what may revolt you most — after the assault itself, launched from the victim’s blind side — was the attitude of the referee as Maradona writhed in agony. The official called Goikoetxea over and crossed his hands, palms down, in a gesture that said: “Don’t do it again.” http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...essi-greater-than-diego-maradona-8834548.html
