El Taladro has been loading up nicely for the Libertadores this next season, hopefully under Patricio they can regain some of the attitude they had under Falcioni. Leeb did a nice job but the team officials pulled the rug from underneath him by selling all their best players, and when he complained then they fired him. All and all I think that Banfield will surprise people in the Libertadores and will pass their group by playing tough on the road and winning at home. They are a very physical team and the players they sign are also known for their physical play. They will sit back, play physical and counter attack when they can. They can be the bad boys of the Libertadores. Opposing team doctors beware.

From what I hear we are very close to finally getting Lavezzi, so I would suspect that Vitti would then be free and probably go to San Lorenzo or Independiente.

After River, Banfield might be the club that best reforced their squad this season, besides Vitti they have signed Julián Maidana (defender, ex-Gremio) and the midfielders José Chatruc (ex-Quilmes), Daniel Quinteros (ex-Central) y Javier Villarreal (ex-Boca). That's a position in every level and with Luchetti at goal, they will be tough to beat. I really hope they do well in the Libertadores but not too well :D
