For those that don't subscribe to the email list, there is a nasty rumor going around that Arsenal may make a bid for Dean Kiely. With an injury to one keeper and Lehman suspended for two or three games, Wenger is looking for a replacement. I don't know if Alan would give him up or if Deano would want to leave unless Andersen would be handed the number one shirt. I can't see Dean accepting the number slot once the suspension and injuries were over.
Very intersting. That would mean that of the 4 keepers around last season, only one remained. This will be interesting to see what happens.
How large would the bid be? It wouldn't be as bad if it would've happened a month ago (like Van Der Sar at Fulham), doesn't leave much time to find a replacement or backup for Andersen. I'd hate to start the season with a question mark in goal. Especially with the good defensive signings. The only question mark left seemed to be a quality striker.
