Montenegro would be alright. Play them in a neutral venue in Europe I suppose.

Nooooo. I've been waiting AGES for a Socceroos game in Perth, but I'll be in Eritrea then. No good at all.

Still, I can't see Holger "kampfs are sehr better than freundlies" Osiek wanting to assemble the team in Perth to prepare for Japan 5 days later. In South Korea yes. but in PErth, no sense

I know logistically it might be hard to schedule but would for the US to have another friendly with you guys. Perhaps right before you arrive in Brazil

not many BIG teams could be available for friendlies in Australia now - most of those who have qualified have already arranged games in Europe.

Switzerland could come here after their friendly in Seoul on 15th.
Bosnia-Herzigovina are still officially free (according to games posted on the FIFA website).
Other European teams that could attract a decent crowd in Australia include : Denmark, Serbia, Turkey, Czech Rep., Poland and Ireland.
What about Argentina, Chile or Ecuador (or even Costa Rica) ? it cannot hurt to play latin american teams at this point - and you're not going to get a 0-6 drubbing in front of a home crowd.

I think its more likely we'll play two games in Europe in November; one against England, and one against one of the teams listed above

BTW, I have just read something interesting.

In 1998, Croatia's last game before WC was played on June 6 - we have beaten Australia 7-0. I that WC we lost to WC host (France, semifinal, 2-1) and later went on to win bronze.
In 2014, our last game will be Australia, it will be played on very same date, June 6, and we will (99% sure) lose to host (Brazil, opening game). We might repeat bronze medal. :ROFLMAO:
