Well, we got Romania !! at least we are often playing half decent teams for friendlies. http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/news-display/qantas-socceroos-to-take-on-romania/57904
Guatemala friendly on May 30 in Perth ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia_national_association_football_team
Nooooo. I've been waiting AGES for a Socceroos game in Perth, but I'll be in Eritrea then. No good at all. Still, I can't see Holger "kampfs are sehr better than freundlies" Osiek wanting to assemble the team in Perth to prepare for Japan 5 days later. In South Korea yes. but in PErth, no sense
Brazil confirmed: Read more: http://www.foxsports.com.au/football/socceroos/fifa-set-the-date-for-the-socceroos-international-friendly-against-world-cup-hosts-brazil/story-e6frf4l3-1226679559984#ixzz2Z58SOvF1
I know logistically it might be hard to schedule but would for the US to have another friendly with you guys. Perhaps right before you arrive in Brazil
And we may face France in Europe in October: http://www.foxsports.com.au/footbal...ies/story-e6frf4l3-1226691997393#.UgBpyjne95g
So we want to give good ole England a confidence boost as well? http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/news/1170273/Socceroos-set-to-take-on-England-at-Wembley
not many BIG teams could be available for friendlies in Australia now - most of those who have qualified have already arranged games in Europe. Switzerland could come here after their friendly in Seoul on 15th. Bosnia-Herzigovina are still officially free (according to games posted on the FIFA website). Other European teams that could attract a decent crowd in Australia include : Denmark, Serbia, Turkey, Czech Rep., Poland and Ireland. What about Argentina, Chile or Ecuador (or even Costa Rica) ? it cannot hurt to play latin american teams at this point - and you're not going to get a 0-6 drubbing in front of a home crowd. I think its more likely we'll play two games in Europe in November; one against England, and one against one of the teams listed above
Many European teams have already organized friendlies, England , Chile Ecuador and Argentina got two friendlies each already. Denmark playing Norway and said that they dont want to play a second friendly in November.
Friendly against Costa Rica to engineer a milder outcome for the new coach !!! November 17th at Sydney Football Stadium http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/news/1171177/Socceroos-set-to-play-Costa-Rica
The link said that the friendly was going to be played on Nov 14 and another friendly was scheduled for Nov 19 ?
when I read it, the website said Sunday 17th. when I went back later, they has edited it and said 14th (plus another friendly on 19th). now its official, but on the Tuesday 19th http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/news-display/socceroos-to-face-costa-rica-in-sydney/77479

Australia to face Croatia somewhere in Americas (June 6) in last pre-World Cup game for both teams. http://www.index.hr/sport/clanak/hr...tala-u-brazilu-protiv-australije-/721959.aspx in Croatian
BTW, I have just read something interesting. In 1998, Croatia's last game before WC was played on June 6 - we have beaten Australia 7-0. I that WC we lost to WC host (France, semifinal, 2-1) and later went on to win bronze. In 2014, our last game will be Australia, it will be played on very same date, June 6, and we will (99% sure) lose to host (Brazil, opening game). We might repeat bronze medal. http://hns-cff.hr/en/news/3312/croatias-friendly-with-australia-in-brazil/ Official news in English
