The thing that impressed me the most about the crowd wasn't the size as much as the enthusiasm. Not only was it a great turnout for a PDL match, but a large portion of the crowd was really, really into it.

While I'm certain the crowd was glad to have soccer back, it's not hard to get into one of your team's games when they're beating the snot out of their competition. ;)

Well since we intend to beat the snot out of our competition at every home game I guess we're all set then.

Just read on their website the Houston team recently signed two old Euro pros Kollka and Polak 38 and 36 years old lol . I thought this was a professional development league ! Is Beto going to turn out for us this season you think ... should play him Thursday to get even!
ps Is Chris Veselka still around?

Seriously now... good crowd Saturday but probably 99% of the punters and kids just came to see an Aztex game. They could care less whether its PDL, USL, or XXL lol. Nothing wrong with that. If we do well the attendances could match the USL levels.

Yeah, I doubt most people know or care about the difference between the pyramid levels. That's something only the hardcore would think a lot about. :)

Out of curiosity, is there any reason this thread needs to be sticky anymore?

I think that now that we're on the tail end of 2012 season, my vote would be "no".
