    Hello Fellow Americans.

Yesterday after 4 Years at São Paulo Brazilian coach Muricy Ramalho has left the job, following the Clubs elimination at the Copa Libertadores in the Quarterfinals.

Muricy has now been elected Best Brazilian Coach 4 years in a row:

    2005 (at Internacional)
    2006 (at São Paulo)
    2007 (at São Paulo)
    2008 (at São Paulo)

Muricy has won with São Paulo 3 Consecutive Brazilian Championships (2006-2008 a record never before done)and in 2005 with Internacional finished 2nd (though many claim Inter should have been Champions due to 11 games being replayed which knocked Inter out of the Top).

Ive followed him for years now. He is a NO NONSENSE Kinda guy. Extremeley Firery unlike STIFF LIFELESS BRADLEY. Press conferences with him are usually interesting and he is known as a Grouchy kinda guy that loves nothing more than WINNING.

Bob Bradley can't dream of being a Muricy ever.

MURICY IS AVAILABLE!! Get him while he is Free!

Muricy is also responsable for INTER's resurgence in 2004 and 2005. Muricy built the team from screatch with the help of Inter President and the team went from mid table to Top of the table. He basicly built the team that went on to win the 2006 Libertadores and beat Barcelona in the Fifa Club World Cup in 06.

    - I don't know if he speaks English...but I do not see that as a Major problem. If Joel Santana of South Africa can manage English Im sure Muricy can.

    - Would he be interested? You would have to ask him, but what coach wouldnt want to be in a World Cup?

Muricy is also very Professional. A guy that BUILDS TEAMS , doesn't just coach them. Don't wait till he takes over Brasil one day to want him. He is the Man.

THE US needs to do the right thing and stop wasting time with Arenas and Bradleys. If they arent going to go after the established Internatioanlly Scolari's...then they should go after proven coaches like Muricy that havent coached National Teams.

PS: Many wanted Klinsmann...and besides a World Cup that was handed to him, what kind of experience did he have? What kind of experience does Dunga have and he is the Brazilian coach. Dunga never even coached a Club before the Seleção.

AT LEAST THE US SHOULD CONTACT THE MAN!!

Im telling you he would make a world of difference to teh US. He would oput Dempsey back down to reality and shake up the squad.

None which is why he was a huge mistake and current failure. I was just asking if this guy had ever coached internationally.

I hear ya' SoccerScout. But never gonna happen. Too far out of the box for the Fed. No doubt this guy will wind up coaching a national team in South or Central America, and probably do very well.

No way he would have interest in coming to the US. He can have much more success at a better club or country than the US in its current state.

This coach is EXCELLENT! His teams are always well organized and he gets the most out of his players. Even when other teams have given up on players, he seems to bring them in, motivate them, and get them playing at a high level.

Getting Muricy to coach the US for the last year before the World Cup would be BRILLIANT!!!

Glad to see someone on the same page with me.

THE US CANNOT AFFORD ANOTHER COLLEGE/MLS Coach at this time.

I'm not saying Muricy is the only man out there, but he is a "hidden" gem. Scolari before coaching Brazil did not have the prestige Muricy has had over the last 4 years.

Are you serious? This is a dream opportunity for just about any coach -- one year of good work and you get to coach a team in the World Cup!!! Some of you are WAY underestimating the desire of top coaches to coach the US.

Muricy has won championships with different teams and has won 3 Brasilian Championships. What is especially impressive is that he won state titles with non-traditional powers Sao Caetano and Nautico. That tells me that he knows how to build teams and get the most out of players that aren't superstars -- just what we need!

If he cant speak English I can be his Translator, problem solved.

And by the way...winning 3 Brazilian titles in a row isnt easy, in Brazil we have 12 Big Clubs that can win any year and 3 in a row was never done, not even in the days of players like Zico at Flamengo, Falcão at Inter or Socrates at Corinthians (he actually never even won one). Is not like in Spain, Italy or England when the same 3 teams rotate as champion.
