For those who are unaware the Atlanta Beat will be coming back to play in Kennesaw in 2010 at a brand new SSS that seats about 8300. This info was sent from a ticket rep.

Im seriously thinking about getting a flex plan and checking out a couple games. Has anyone been interested in going to any games? Maybe we can get a supporters group going.

I'd definitely like to hit up some games and the flex plans do sound like a great deal.

I don't mean to sound sexist here but I just don't really see myself being super gung ho about the Beat (at least, not as gung ho as I would be for a mens team). Sorry if that angers anyone, but I just don't know about trying a whole supporters group kinda thing. I'm not sure if that's really a part of WPS culture. Maybe there would be interest from others, but I kinda doubt it. Having said that, I will definitely be attending some games and taking in some local soccer at a sweet looking new stadium.

Sorry to semi-rain on your parade. The positives are that we have some pro soccer in an awesome stadium to watch! The negatives are that you might have trouble getting hardcore fans together for a supporters group kind of setup.

no i understand. they have nothing detailing any type of supporters group so im assuming they are def catering to families and women for the most part.

It would be good to get some visibility...although I can't see myself getting too interested in the Beat.

I would recommend a date be choosen for the whole group to go and sit a sing together...just once and in large numbers...ans see what kind of response we get.
