ZOMG! Solo so great but whats up with Gold Pride??? How can they not score ... I really pity that team. Must be a frustrating if you play like they do for a large part of the season and not score at all. Quite masochist and self punishing.

Quite an entertaining 1st half. Liked the energy. Athletica is using the wings well. Gold Pride had more of the game but they have to. Despite some pretty chances I think McNeill and Ellertson show solid composure and overall St.Louis defense handles the (impressivly) rushing Milbrett/Sinclair/Chastain in a solid manner. Solo vs Gold Pride no-score-curse spells no good for the bay area team. Oh - Lacledes army got caught by FSC cameras. :)

I admit I haven't watched much of this match, but why are the FSC camera shots so tight and close?

Walsh coming in. Hilarious warrior facepaint. Great game by Cross.
Nothing wrong with that. Actually it is the wider camera angles provided by (mostly poor webstreams) that put me off.

Yes, it is. The old adage is that speed kills.

Dang. Aluko really wanted to pull that defender and pass. Too bad it didn`t work. And I have to admit I am in love by the hints of speed Walsh and Aluko provide. *yay*

Looks like Gold Pride hasn`t left much in the tank. They used most of it in the 1st half without profiting. Ten more minutes to go.

We thought so too, but oh well.

BAY definitely turned it on during the end there, and I'm not saying that just b/c/o the game tying goal. They've definitely started finding their groove. Too bad the tie means they've been eliminated.....

Sucks to have dropped the win in the last five minutes, but oh well. It was definitely a good game. Here's hoping for not a loss next weekend.

Well, if my mathematics are correct and I think StarCityFan has figured out a good part of this on the playoff thread, the following are the scenarios over the next week.

    1) If Boston beats Washington, we're in the playoffs although we would fall to 3rd place, so pick your poison there.

    2) If Boston and Washington tie, we would need one more point in any of our last three games.

    3) If Boston loses to Washington and then we beat Boston on Saturday, we're also in the playoffs. Correction a tie against Boston would still put us a point away I think.

    4) If Boston loses to Washington and we lose to Boston, then we will still need either two points, or need somebdody else to falter (Washington or Sky Blue).

Right now, the only way I think we can not make the playoffs really, is to make one point or less the rest of year, have Sky Blue beat Washington, Washington beat or tie Boston, and Boston beat Los Angeles and us, Sky Blue and Washington both beat Gold Pride. Now while that's a lot of things to have to happen, it's is certainly possible.

And we could have made this so much easier on ourselves.....:(

    Yes, we could have...
Gold Pride surprised me with how well they played, though. I'm not surprised they drew LA earlier this week, and I'll accept the draw for tonight.
We have one more chance to beat them, anyway. ^.^

Two small corrections: if Boston beats you, and you don't get more than a point from your CRS and FCGP matches, then the Breakers will be ahead of you regardless of how they do against LA. On the other hand, if the Freedom tie the Breakers and you get at least a point off CRS or FCGP, then you're in because we'd have 27 points and you'd have 28.
