Anyone interested in visiting Portland, Oregon?

I purchased a block of tickets to the visiting supporters' section (there seem to be a number of Crew fans already in the city who have contacted the Timbers' ticket office - we'll all be next to each other). If you're down for the game - let's all get together.

I have a number of tickets still available if you need one. They are $32.50.

Meowing aside, Jeld-Wen Field is a fantastic venue for soccer. The entire city of Portland is very walkable and full of things to see. Though I'm sure many from both cities would hate to hear this, Columbus and Portland are pretty similar to one another (as medium sized cities with an under-appreciated amount of culture).

I'll be there and I'll take 2 tickets.

This is my first match since moving back west. Should be good!

I am wondering if we shouldn't have a thread for all the away games. I am going to the SKC game this summer so instead of having multiple threads just have one sticky at the top.

One thread would get a bit cluttered, especially as some of the more-popular road trips start being discussed. You'd have 30 posts for a trip to Chicago thrown in with many fewer for a trip to New England.

We've tried that a couple of times in the past few years and it gets too cluttered, especially when there are multiple road trips happening in a short period of time. Also, people tend to complain when their individual threads get lumped into one big thread and accuse the moderators of being dictatorial and stifling all meaningful discussion with their douchebaggery.

Would love to come and show you around the town. I always do the food cart/ pub crawl. Anyway, those who haven't been to Portland will have a great time at the game. I am slated for HS playoffs plus I have a month long trek across the country for Road Trip USA in June.

Portland Timbers away match. Anyone going?

I just called and got what I was told were the last 4 tickets in the away supporters section 223. He said there are 22 others, 26 total, and I was wondering if anyone on here is going and if anyone wants to meet for some pints downtown before the match.

I hadn't realized how crappy our away supporters seats are until I looked at the seating chart. We're in the back row of the upper deck in the far corner! Anyway, a couple of us from the board are coming. We should make plans to meet somewhere. I'm unfamiliar with the area, so I'll leave it to anyone who is local.

    (I'm in 223 Row V)

Yea, we should definitely meet up, sounds like a great idea. There are a number of bars very close to the stadium that we could go to, however, must of them are extremely packed with Timbers army, so I was going to suggest Crystal Ballroom since it has a little more room and won't be body to body. It is .4 miles from the stadium if you don't mind a short walk. Do you have any preferences in regards to location or are you ok with that distance from the stadium?

Crystal Ballroom sounds good to me. The McMenamins by my house closed, so I'm looking forward to it. What time do you want to meet?

I'll be in a group of 13. Some Crew fans, some from Ohio, some just tagging along.

I still have 5 tickets if anyone's interested. They're already paid for, so I can probably cut you a deal (paid people wouldn't mind getting just some of their money back rather than nothing).

I've got four with me, two of us are crew fans, and two tag alongs, and we all have tickets. If i have anyone else to bring, I'll certainly let them know that they can buy tickets from you. I assume we'll be easy to pick out in our Crew gear, what time did you want to meet up there? We'll probably get there moderately early so we can hop on a pool table.
