I bought the original ones at full price, like £70 or something, no way i'm doing that again, think i'm just going to battle on with those until they drop to pieces and hope a decent deal comes up along the way.

try cheshire oaks give them a call and theres a nike outlet in derby but its pretty far, took what seemed like ages to get there decent though,

i actually want to try bomba's they look snug and the sole is pretty low profile just the price is a put off.

Think I'm starting to play indoor again next week fancy getting some good indoors, but the prices of indoors are pretty expensive too for a decent pair

I had a quick look in the West Brom outlet the other day when i went to get some new shorts and stuff for the gym but they didn't have much worth looking at in the shoes, one pair of Legend IV that were unfortunately half a size to small.

Anywhere to the East is a ball ache to drive too, even the M1 starts randomly changing between being motorway and an A road after you go so far North.

I had the original Black/Pink colourway on pre-order and although the few AG stugs around the toe are pretty much gone and the upper is starting to split a little in a few of the deeper creases they've last me well. I think its been nearly 2 years i've had them now, would've played in them once a week on old school type turf in the football season and maybe once in every 2 or 3 times i've played on 3G too. Definitely got my moneys worth out of them and they really have softened up nicely but i still dont fancy paying full price again.

yeah my mate got the first white/greyish colour way at launch and they look brand newish still to to be about 2 years on 3g/grass and a bit of like horrid wet sponge astro too.

I haven't been back to west brom, mainly because its normally crap and its pointless driving from cannock there for one shop

The White/Grey/Orange ones seem the best deal i can find at the minute, fair few places got them at about £55 with pretty much all the sizes left, none of them seem to have halves though.

Come to think of it, i've been looking for 7.5's but i think i might have actually had an 8 in the Bomba's, going to have to see what my old ones are and try them on see if 8 is the right size or if i can drop to my usual 7.5.

I bought some Morelia Neo's off German eBay earlier, £75 instead of the £150 on PDS, so it might be worth a look.

I only play for Ashmore Lake in the Wolverhampton Sunday league, we were awful last year, pretty much a team full of people with no footballing brain what so ever. We used to have two guys that used to play at a decent level until injuries set them back and they dragged the rest of along, either constantly telling them what to do or just using their ability to do things for themselves. Both of those players left last summer though and it all descended into a farce, the 'manager' is clueless, the mindless players ignore any advice given to them by anyone so we're always fighting a losing battle.

It's hard to get too pissed off with it though because they're pretty much all decent lads, a lot of them really shouldn't bother with football though, or they should at least make an effort to learn about how the game is played.

    How about yourself?

that sounds like a good price for a boot with good reviews german ebay is class

Yeah, someone mentioned it on the Mizuno thread an put a link up so i checked it out and couldn't help myself when i saw they had my size.

One of my mates used to play for someone in the Cannock league, no idea what the team was called but i think they folded anyway, or he left, either way he doesn't play for them anymore.

I dont really know where the name comes from to be honest, the only thing i've seen for Ashmore Lake is the trading park just off Clarkes Lane in Willenhall, dont think anyone is from round there though so not sure why they ended up with the name. Most of the players seem to be split between Wednesfield, Wednesbury and Darlaston.

I've been stuck with going to the gym for a few weeks, sprained my ankle so haven't been able to play football, seriously struggle to force myself there everyday, its horrible. Cant wait to start playing football again instead, was going to give it a go on Sunday but there wasn't enough people to have a game, same thing has happened tonight too!

Yeah I know the place, bit strange that your teams called that, yeah Cannock Sunday league is pretty bad very low standard and crappy pitchs.

No harm in coming along to training some time if you're interested, we ended up with a massive amount of players signed last season but most were either garbage or only came once or twice so it was pretty pointless. I'm determined to head a recruitment drive this summer, trying to track down a few lads i used to play with different places and see if i can tempt them into it, a couple decent players in the right positions could really help the weaker lads.

Probably need to start going training myself before i start trying to replace half the team though to be fair.

Yeah I know a fair few teams who has enough players signed for three teams yet could barely get 11 turn up.

If you let me know I'll see if I could get down there, no harm in some football

Hey guys. Long time reader, first time poster. I'm looking to pick up a new pair of astros for an 11-a-side outdoors league on 3g that's coming up in about a month. I don't care for the feel of FGs on turf and I'd rather not risk injury to myself or damage to any of my FGs unnecessarily. I'd rather go for an astro boot as opposed to an AG as I'd like to use them on hard natural grass occasionally as well. I'm thinking about the Pred Absolado as it has a nice low toe box, which seems to be pretty rare in turf shoes and they're $50 at the Adidas Outlet near me. Thoughts or suggestions? I'd really like to keep it under $80, preferably leather, low to box, and a fairly aggressive stud pattern.

Does anyone know the name of these? I bought them at the Puma Concept store in Carnaby Street about 6 years ago. The tongue is held down by a magnet and the sole (not pictured) would be best for hard court surfaces. They could actually be fashion shoes though, rather than football specific.

Anyone used the adidas super sala indoor trainers? They looks pretty nice, I dont like the look of the gato's and the elastico's just don't do it for me, these seem like a happy medium

I'm unclear as to whether I should wear AG cleats on indoor artificial grass (for my winter league) or stick to my Bombas. My summer outdoor team just switched to playing on an artificial pitch but we only have two games left in the season.

From what I understand, the AG sole plates are for 3g/4g pitches ONLY (the stuff that's more like actual grass). I don't know how it is where you live, but most indoor facilities around here use old/carpet style turf. AG boots wouldn't be suitable for that and I don't think the Bombas would either since they have the hard AG studs near the front of the boot. I believe that would be pretty slippery on a carpet-like surface when pushing off. On the carpet style stuff I always used flat soled indoors and never had any problems. Some turf boots with a stud pattern like the Tiempo turfs or Pred X turfs would be good, too.

Have a gander at my buying guidelines from my review site; I touch on this issue specifically.
    http://drboots.com/?page_id=73

Per the Bomba, which I think is a fantastic boot. It is suitable on 3G surfaces, and most astro turf that is carpet like. I have used them with outstanding success on both surfaces. They were great for traction on both.

AG outsoles should be used on 3G, not carpet...AG is also useful for very hard ground outside as well (think dusty, and hard baked pitches).

Got to agree on the Bomba's, i've used them with good results on both old school, carpet-like turg and modern 3G stuff.

The few AG studs on the toe got worn down pretty quickly on the carpet stuff though but there was still enough grip on offer from the more traditional turf sole that covers the rest of the shoe.

OK, great. Thanks for the info guys. I have the right equipment then. I play on grass like surfaces, not like carpet.

I bought a pair of Trequartistas with the AG sole for my outdoor league. I'll continue to wear them indoors, rotating with my Bombas. Was a bit concerned that indoor refs wouldn't know they were for artificial grass but it says so right on the sole. The refs in my league are about 70 years old and may not be on top of the latest technology.

Anyone know of a classic turf or indoor shoes?
I've been away from soccer for a while, but back when I played I remember the market filled with classic kangaroo leather turf/indoor shoes that were predominantly black or white such as tiempos, legends(now these shoes always seem to have some kind of accent color to screw it up)
Now trying to get back, I look for some shoes, and all I see are rainbows! I've looked at some lotto stadio primato indoors that are sold out, and some others that are all sold out. Does anyone know of any kangaroo leather or high quality full grain leather shoes that are all white, mostly white, or black and white?
    thanks

**closest i've found so far to my liking are these: http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/Prod...ro-Turf-Soccer-Cleats-PearlBlueRed-48643.aspx
ideal would be if they had these in stock:http://www.soccerfans.com/showitem.php?web_code=LOT_13015_F
