I've played in horrendous weather in the old adi 5s and don't remember my feet getting wet. I wouldn't totally rely on that though cause the warmest part of me was probably my pint hand after!

I do love the boots though.

ha! Well the old ones turn out to be very waterproof. I put my hand in them and ran them under my tap for 30 seconds. Nothing got through!

Hmmm, think I might stick with my Nike indoors then, I tend to just play next to am AstroTurf on some winter nights and steal their light! Although where I play can be a bit muddy too. Think leather would be more durable and easier to clean. Just love the White/black/pink colour way in the 1s!

    Hi Guys and Gals,

For the last ten years, I've played in Copa Mundials and Profi Ligas exclusively, on all types of grass and turf surfaces. But I'm playing on indoor and outdoor turf more often than not nowadays and I started to wonder if wearing a turf shoe would make any difference. Obviously, the Mundial Team boot, even if they seem heavy and clunky to me, was a no brainer until the Nike Bomba Finale sparked my interest.

After convincing my "traditional Adidas k-leather only" mind to cross over to the "dark side of the Nike boot", I ordered a pair of Bomba Finales in white/blue. My Adidas boots in US8.5/UK8 fit me like a glove, so I figured a US8.5 Nike boot would fit me fine too. Well it doesn't*. Seems these Nike US8.5 are UK7.5, in fact it says so right on the box. So I, being made of $ (not), ordered another pair, yellow/black (w/b was oos), in US9/UK8. This time they fit perfect, like my Copas - I'm trusting UK sizing from now on! I haven't used them much yet, just some light jogging and easy freekicks while getting over a sprain, but they really do feel like you're wearing nothing, and I can see me liking these a lot.

    * Yes, my fault for ordering on the web without confirming right fit first...

Then I found these on the web... the Adidas Copa Mundial Team Astro, WTF right?

I can't find any legit looking info on these, are they for real? Copa Mundial k-leather tops with Traxion turf soles, fakes right? If these ARE real, and had I found them sooner, I would have definitely preferred them over the Mundial Team, and the Bomba Finale would have never gotten the time of day from me (even though I do like them a lot :p).

(psst, wanna buy a pair of brand new white/blue Bomba Finales US8.5/UK7.5?) ;)

Does anyone on here wear Nike Gatos?

What id like to know is do they offer you lots of cushion in the heel area from the thicker sole? I'm looking for some new indoors just to freestyle in so they will mainly be worn on concrete in the winter months, i find the other nike indoors dont have much cushion on the sole.

    Cheers!

Anyone on here got any Joma's? Preferably the Top Flex.

Just wondering how the sizing runs on them, they pretty much true to size?

If you're looking for heel cushioning, lunar gatos would be perfect for you. Lunar products are amazingly comfortable. How long the comfort lasts varies from person to person, but for at least the first 3 months they'll be awesome.

    Lunar Gatos or Elastico Finale?

Im going to be playing indoor on turf, sometimes in a gym. I have Mundial Teams right now but didnt really like them. Too loose for me.

Leaning toward the Elasticos but dont know if red or black/yellow.

Ahh ok, that's what I thought. The quality seems to be there for both.

Indoors tend to have a flat gum, non marking soles. Astros have little rubber studs on them for better grip on a sand/3G surface.
